Becoming the new Stan Petrov. Needs to add more goals to fully get to that level but that isn't a problem. He looks like scoring every time he plays now.

A smart, direct and gifted midfielder. If he sustains this form for the rest of the season he will be POTY.

Would happily have had him out the door at the end of last season, now I can't picture our team without him.
What a transformation.

Always a good player, so no surprises what he is producing now.

Our perpetually impatient support hammering him far too early ,IMO

Majestic again today.

GB, sort a proper song for this guy eh?

Thought he was done with us when he deservedly lost his place in the team at the start of the season.

Some turnaround.

The transformation of Armstrong shows how important having a top class manager is.9 of the 11 who started were with us last season. Can't wait until we bring in another 2 or 3 players in the transfer window.

I would happily have punted him in August.

Stuart, I was wrong.

Folk being contrite about their opinions of him last season isn't right. He was woeful, low on confidence, shirked tackles and hid in plain sight.

This season however, he's a completely different beast. I'd effing hate to be playing against him in midfield as, much like Sinclair on the left, he runs all day dragging opposition everywhere. On top of that, he's now brave on the ball, passes forward, commits defenders and conjures up game-changing moments with his goals and assists, like today. What a turnaround. Get him a new deal.

Depends on what the opinions were.

If they were that he was poor, fine. If the criticism was over the top, personal, and declared that he was not, and never would be, good enough then contrition is perfectly appropriate

There were plenty of signs there was a player in there. 1.6m was it? Bargain. Such a better option than Bitton in this system.

I'm currently basking in the glory amongst friends and family that I was the only one who maintained there was a player there

Enjoying it now

You're right.

I always thought he had ability, but didn't think he had the mentality to do what he's doing just now.
