He was very very poor tonight. Doesn't have the pace to track when we don't have the ball - great skill and control but when we're under pressure he struggles. Hopefully he learns.

Hard to learn what he has missing. We can afford it domestically because players can't get the ball off him and he has support around him but at this level it's cruel. Defenders are better, quicker and smarter and he doesn't have the same numbers of team mates around him.

What's Australian for shat it?
SPFL player in a Brisbane accent?

Hasn't shown a thing in Europe tbh. Still spfl is the bread and butter for the next six months so he's needed for now unless we do something quickly.
Thought he was very good for quite a while in the City game.
At this level it's as much as what you do off the ball, look at barca players working the opposition. Even agaisnt city he hardly closed down or challenged.

He was poor tonight but we know he has talent. Probably would be better if he was coming on for the last 30 minutes in the cl as opposed to for the first 60.

We have a number of players who at "this level", regardless of what you say I still think he had a good game against City.

Ultimately we need better quality but I love watching the guy, he's capable of something a bit special, a la the goal V Aberdeen and often lights up drab matches. I want more of those moments, not for 11 robots who run all the time.

Even if we spend millions we're not going to be able to buy players at "this level" therefore need to either develop our own or buy more like Dembele. I'm not saying Rogic is going to get to a high quality CL level player but I'm happy enough with him for now and what he brings to the team, to be singling him out for criticism after that game is harsh and, quite frankly, it could be a number of our players that fit the description you've given this European campaign.

Why would we talk about mcgregor, who was far worse btw, or Roberts when it's the rogic thread? Check the post further up where I said he's fine for the domestic stuff and why I think that is.
Better players than rogic haven't stepped up in Europe in terms of skill, the ones that bridge the gap more often do it with work rate and belief. Rogic, along with McGregor and Roberts, there you go, didn't show so much of those.

He's out of his depth outside Scotland. And is as lazy as eff as well. Won't be a first team starter in 12 months.

His lack of pace and stamina make him a bit of a luxury against real opposition.

He's not out his depth outside Scotland. Had a poor game tonight granted but he generally has performed well in Europe for us and also for Australia on the international stage.

Pretty anonymous tonight, but he has bags of talent and potential.

I think at the moment he is too lightweight and wasteful at this level. Whether we can work with him to build that part of his game up time will tell

In our formation he is given a lot of freedom and a lot of responsibility. He has talent but at a higher level (and I don't mean as high as Barca) we maybe need someone a bit more dynamic and direct.

I love watching him play and he has moments were he looks absolutely top class but given we can only have one midfielder playing with that sort of freedom I can't help but feel an upgrade may be needed.

It's a difficult one to call.

Struggled at times but difficult as he was often surrounded and crowded out. Not totally his fault when teams target him, we need to use the space better.
