Can he finish a game? Whats the craic with his fitness?
His fitness wasn't the issue last night,he just wasn't good enough.
He was playing well against the sheep at the weekend just past and he was subbed. Its obvs to do with his fitness.

He would be a superstar in a League that isn't played at 100mph
take it your saying the spl is too fast. Spl is his limit I'm afraid. Top league footballs a mile faster than ours. If that wasn't the case why is he not strolling it in the champions league

I think the 'blowing out his arse' comments are trotted out lazily on here. Sometimes he is, in other games he has been looking one of our better players and has still been switched. He plays 90 mins more often than not for Australia. It's generally a tactical thing with us. He's being subbed because he can't sustain a high press for 90 minutes but that by no means constitutes to 'blowing out his arse' etc etc.

What's weird is in the games against Aberdeen and Kilmarnock, where he has played the full 9o mins he scored in both games in the last few minutes which would seem at odds with him blowing out his arse.

He did look effed after half an hour v city when the game was very fast and he had to do a lot off the ball.

Strange.

Maybe he's getting his energy back after half an hour of doing eff all just as the opposition are tiring.

I think BR said that the have been quite a few games where Tom could have played 90 minutes but that for tactical reasons or squad rotation reasons he's been subbed out.

Most games where he's subbed he has fallen out of it. Rodgers isn't going to say in public he was effed so
I hooked him :)

He has clearly been blowing out his arse in a few games and been subbed to get fresh legs on. Hun game at CP and Man City for example. Nothing lazy about saying it, only a fool would say his legs were still there and and replacing him with an inferior Armstrong was a tactical move.

I accept there may be many factors behind it, including the long international trips he makes, and he does seem to be improving. Still, it has been evident on a few occassions.

He was knackered by first half against City. I don't think anyone has suggested otherwise.

Some folk are questioning whether he can ever last 90 mins. Other folk are pointing out that he can but the reason he doesn't isn't necessarily because of fitness. I think that was the point of the poster who made the "lazy posting" comment.

Don't understand how some people can say the blowing out his arse things over used. Most times when he is subbed around the 60-70 minute mark, he hasn't kicked his arse for 15 minutes and when the camera is up at him, he's breathing heavily.

If he starts, he effects the first half nearly every time he is on the ball in the final 3rd, in the 2nd half, that suddenly drops off, its highly noticeable, which is why BR switches him most weeks.

SPFL player in a Brisbane accent?

Hasn't shown a thing in Europe tbh. Still spfl is the bread and butter for the next six months so he's needed for now unless we do something quickly.

Thought he was very good for quite a while in the City game.
