He's 24 years of age. Was picked up at the age of 19 if I'm led to believe correctly. Even taking into consideration injuries he has had about 18 months or so now to get himself fit. It's used as an excuse because people don't want to critise him which is fair enough.

I think it's lazy not to be able to get yourself fit.
Lazy?

If he was "lazy" I'm pretty sure he would get nowhere near the first team.

And I would wager that the Celtic backroom staff and the lad himself are working on his fitness very hard.

Didn't Steven Gerrard have similar problems until his wisdom teeth were removed?

Fitness and stamina aren't the same thing. Olympic sprinters are fit but they're just not cut out for middle or long distance running. Daley Thompson is probably the greatest all-round athlete Britain has ever produced but he looked like an asthmatic octogenarian carrying a sack of coal when he was running in the 1500 metres. That's not because he wasn't fit and it certainly wasn't because he was lazy and didn't train. Natural endurance levels vary from person to person just as some people are naturally faster than others.
Training routines help you make the most of what you've got but if your potential is considerably lower than the next guy's then you won't reach his level.

Gerrard had his removed in an attempt to prevent muscle injuries. Tam's problem is that he has the lung capacity of a 16 year old smoker.

Forrest's injury history was blamed on something like his teeth too, if memory serves.

I don't like Tom and Bitton in the team at the same time, not enough legs for the way BR wants to play.

I think this time next year one of them will be out of the team, maybe both.
I was actually discussing this with the better half on the way home from Dundee. Thought Bitton played better when Rogic went off. Like both as players, but agree we perhaps would move the ball faster as a team without one of them.

Some Osteopaths believe there is a link. Not sure if there is any solid scientific evidence to back it up.

I believe Gerrard, Van Persie and Robben all had them removed. Used to be quite common amongst French players too.

Essentially, it allegedly affects your jaw, which affects your posture and puts stress on hamstrings, groin and calf muscles. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/feb/16/milan-lab-premier-league

I remember Colin Cameron (Hearts) saying wearing a gumshield alleviated a chronic pelvic problem. Said it helped give his body balance.

I think that we should forget about Commons as a possible 20 minute-man for when Rogic tires and Armstrong as well, for that matter.
We also have McGregor, Christie and Henderson as options and surely the time has come to have an honest-to-goodness look at the last two, Christie and Henderson. The latter has been waiting around for a run in the team since Lennon's days and it just isn't happening. Neither he nor Christie are even guaranteed a place on the bench nowadays. I never saw Christie at ICT, so have no idea what his best position is. These two plus the forgotten man GMS and Commons are no longer seen to be up to BR's standards/demands, so they should be replaced. If we can bring in anyone to match the quality of Dembele, Sinclair or Toure then we would all be delighted.
