Has his weaknesses for sure but at times he is an absolute joy to watch. He can be anything he wants to be in the game

For a big lad, he can be too easily shoved off the ball. But great skills.

Bit of a throwback in some ways to wonderful players like Prosinecki and Riquelme. He's all technique and vision. no athleticism but you don't care when watching him.

Should hire a top tier personal fitness coach to see if he has any chance of developing the average level of fitness of a player at a decent level. If he can do it he will be a fantastic player.

Took his goal well but at times against better opposition he is a luxury. If he can develop that might change but we carried him a lot tonight.

Presumably they're better than us because they have better footballers? So why would we drop one of ours to counter that?

This is the sort of attitude that holds Scottish football back. You find a way to get them into the game. That's what the "better" teams do. Thankfully Rodgers seems to get that with his chat about making sure his wide players receive the ball high up the park.

Not at all, I call him a luxury because he disappeared for a large part of the game, a time in which we didnt find a way to get him in the game and he wasnt able to get himself back into the game. In the rest of my post I said I hoped he could develop to do that. How is that attitude holding Scottish fitba back?

Love Tam Rogic as a footballer. Did great for the goal but didn't influence the game as much as I thought he might have done. Which isn't really a problem if others step up to the plate as they did last night.

Think we need to be patient with Tom. It's easy to forget that he hasn't played a lot of games for Celtic and last night was probably the biggest game of his career and it's still only a qualifier.

He's never going to be able to get around and press the way others do but his technique and ability with the ball in tight spaces is something no one else has. Nowadays a player like him is seen as a bit of a luxury. His fitness will improve but even then he's probably going to be the guy you take off at 70 minutes like last night.

He needs more games at this kind of level and above to really kick on.

Worth noting he played the whole match against Murderwell

When he starting blowing out of his arse, and he did after about 50mins the pressing went completely.
He could be a magnificent player but his conditioning(compare to Scott Brown last night) is a dreadful.

Im not sure you can make him faster using fitness coaching but they need to work big time on his stamina

Rogic would be amongst my favourite players as he is capable of great skill, passes and great goals. But contrast the pace and skill of most of our team last night with Tom's skill and languid style and he sticks out like a sore thumb.

I hope we can accommodate him. At the moment he is only a 60 minute player who is liable to be amongst the first to be subbed. But he is a cool customer, he took the first goal well, I could have imagined many a midfielder blasting that over the bar.

Agree with Pads99, his stamina is a bit of an issue but I'm sure this will increase in time. Smashing footballer and a joy to watch at times.

Did he not come to professional football pretty late?

Probably why his fitness may not be up to lasting 90 minutes

starting rogic is a waste of a sub. May as well bring him on with 25 minutes to go

I don't think he is much of an impact player tbh, better starting him and getting a good hour then use the bench. If we get another couple of signings in then our bench should be pretty strong with plenty of players looking to impress when they get a chance.

Really good ball player, but a man down defensively. Doesn't seem to know how to position himself to cut out angles for passes from the opposition, or it's maybe that he isn't fit enough.

Either way, a good guy to have in the squad as he's liable to produce a wee bit of magic.

I actually think with his style of play he is the a good impact sub. When the game is slower and he can find more room is where he is at his best.

He has tremendous skill.

Not sure we can play him and Lustig from the start together, as they both can't last 90 minutes and leaves it a bit limited when it comes to substitutions

Talented, but unfortunately I think his languidity will hinder him in reaching the next level.

(See Wieghorst, Morten).
