All the Australian media rates him as our next truly great player. Great for the club! Very happy!

We here at the Canberra CSC (that is, my household) are delighted at this news. We're now contemplating calling ourselves the Tom Rogic No. 1.

Don't think he's weak. Needs to work on his fitness though. Must start to work and influence over 90 minutes.

Lovely big footballer though

I like Rogic technically one of our best players. Great body movement and one of the few players who can swivel the auld hips and beat a player.

I just find it a tad strange in the fact where he would fit in the team. He rarely starts many games and rarely last 90 minutes and it seems goes against the grain in terms of a Rodgers type player from what I have heard and seen so far. By that I mean pace and pressure football he claims he wishes to play. Rogic rarely tracks back and puts many tackles in. Very good player technically but dont know where he would fit in our first 11?

I'd be tempted to try him against Motherwell as a false 9, flanked by Sinclair and Dembele. I think he could play the role well, dropping deep and setting up chances for others and offering a threat with his long range shooting.

Glad to hear this - much rather keep him than lose him. Is it a three year extension to his existing deal - ie the best part of four years altogether?

This.

Re: his fitness. It can't be fitness that's his problem. He has all the opportunity and support anyone could need to be the best athlete he's capable of being. So either there is an underlying medical condition or it's attitude (both for training and during games). He's tall and as far as I can tell would most likely be classed as an ectomorph so should be setup for stamina and reasonable pace.

I wonder if he's been suckered into that thinking that states a flair player isn't a hard working player. I hope not and if he has he needs to watch Messi, Suarez, Iniesta etc and change his thinking.

Really hope he is able to step up a level and become the creative player we need.

Likely a case of 'right, there's a player there, we'll try and get him into our style of play and if we can't he's on a deal and we get money for him'.

Based on what TR himself said when signing he wants to knuckle down to BR ways.

I'm chuffed he's signed a new deal but agree with the countless others that more work needs to be put in on his part to last 90 minutes on a regular basis and have more impact on games he plays in.

He's clearly got talent. He seems to be enjoying himself at the club too but for him to really be a lasting player here, there need to be some improvements on different things.

Delighted to have him tied down for 3 more years, a real genuine talent that can change a game. I hope Brendan starts to play him more too

Really delighted for the guy. He played a few bit parts and ended up back in Oz potentially ending his Celtic career, has turned it around and deservedly earned a new contract (that beautiful goal vs Kilmarnock  ). If the coaching can get his fitness levels up, I think he'd be an excellent #10 style behind any front line of Griff/Dembele/Roberts/Sinclair
