I think I would get rid of every other central midfielder before I had to get rid of Rogic. Damned with faint praise perhaps, but he has a nack for creating and scoring goals, something none of the others have been doing for about a year now.

Don't get the 70/80mins criticism either. Would much rather have Rogic on his game for 2/3rds of a game than a placeless, meandering Bitton or a petulant Johansen for 90.

Reminds me of Liam Miller in that he probably hasn't played as much football as a 23 year old probably should have by that age. Hardly irredeemable and it could be fixed.
I do like him as a player and these are fair points, but just like Liam Miller he's not signing a new contract which pretty much leads to a quick sale these days.
Yep

Don't know how keen he is on staying, but if he's made it clear he's running his contract down then there's no other real option for us.

Like any player in his last year, if not signing a new contract then sell. He is an impact sub at best.
This

You got a point to make?
To be honest, I cant better williebhoys first line in his reply in post #991

Really? I don't think it would be hard to better; the comparison to McCourt is completely facile. Rogic is a different, and far superior footballer.

Is he leaving or something :ponder:
I think it stems from Gerry Braiden on twitter who posted this

Been advised not to get Rogic in back of my new pink away top
Ahh OK, thanks.

Yeah I'm another in the last year of his deal boat.

If he won't commit then sorry but see ya.

Can't say I'm disappointed when any of of current squad is linked with leaving (Except Teirney)

Rogic has had some wonderful moments but his consistency, fitness and temperament are not up to it. Granted there are a load more players I'd like to see go before him but if in the last year of his contract we can get something now rather than nothing later then go for it.

He's had moments, some real good ones but not enough of them for me to lament his departure.

I'm his biggest fan on here, but if he's not going to sign a new deal, he can hit the bricks. Leaving now would be a daft decision, especially if it's to an English club. Another season at Celtic Park as a regular, with a big name manager, games in Europe, and bigger clubs than what he might get now will be kicking the door down.

Just did a search on him - this is the most recent news article - perhaps a change of career?

Rogic really needs to think about this. It all depends on where he's going of course but it's pretty easy to envisage him disappearing without trace if he moves down south to a middling BPL club.

Like most I like Rogic. Technically he's a natural talent and it's great to watch a guy who can do the things he does.

His problem has been his fitness and now his problem is his ability to get around the park. He really doesn't cover a lot of ground. Always thought he had a tough of the Riquelme's about him. But you need to be a effing legend to get away with that shampoo.

You'll never do better than Celtic Tom, but best of luck.

I really like Rogic but he's never really took too many games by the scruff of the neck & dominated proceedings. Has a great eye for a pass and such a nice touch but like a lot of our players, there could and should be a lot more from him.

It's not as if we are short in that area of the pitch, so sell for the highest price possible.

I get the feeling he isn't a player BR has warmed to...possibly a bit too slow for him and unable to maintain the high pressing / high energy he is looking for.

Nice player, moments of sheer class, but he's a bit of a luxury player.

I like Rogic

Good player, scored some good goals.
Couldn't care less about the lasting 90mins argument at the moment.
If he isn't signing a new deal, sell asap.

Thanks for the memories and move on.
If he does sign, great now turn him into a 90min player

Really enjoy watching a stylish player like Tom who can change games, still got a long way to go but will end up a class act.

I'd rather have a guy like Rogic in the team who's capable of producing 2 mins of magic from 90 mins than blow hards like Johansen that do feck all week in week out

With Bitton being a doubt for the Astana game mid week I think Tom might have just played himself into a starting role. Thought he was brilliant when he came on and took the game to Barca. He's one of a few players that we have that doesn't look out of place against good opposition. Hope he signs a new deal and becomes a real gem under Brendan. Stick.

Riquelme might be my favourite player of all time, but, honestly, Riquelme as a comparison is absolutely damning.

When he scored against killie though from at least 6000 yards. Loved that. League winner.

I don't blame him leaving if his salary hasn't been significantly improved on the 3k/wk salary he currently receives. Astronomical salaries to a rotund bench warmer and chaotic captain while a gem exits for nothing. Entirely typical of the chortling non speculator.
