People on here said they would bite the hands of an EPL club for £6m for Virgil. We got £12m and his value has doubled. Crystal Palace paid £7m for James effing McArthur.
I stumbled across an old thread last night (around 2012) and folk were saying they'd take £5m for Wanyama, and laughing at the prospect we'd even get anything close to £7m.

A lot can change in a year, and you never know what Rogic could do to rocket his value up. The one good thing about the EPL TV deal is that no ones afraid to spend 8 figures on a speculative punt as its now all pocket change.

I'd take 2 or 3 million for him.
I tend to agree, anyone who thinks Rogic is worth £7 million are having a laugh

He's clearly potentially worth a shed load over 2M.

Selling at that price would be effing stupidity.

Not a big issue but the Commentator mentioned English based players but not once did he mention that Rogic was a Celtic player
He mentioned it several times.

Maybe you were not watching ITV.
I did forward thru it a few times

 The reality of the new English deal hasn't sunk in with some. We would be crazy to sell Rogic for less than £7m and I think we'll get more. I'm not particularly bothered either way at the prospect of him leaving -- for the money we get for the big man, Rodgers can buy a player that will more suit the kind of game he wants us to play.

Rogic is in need of a new contract and not to be sold yet. When he leaves in three years it will be for £23m after he has scored a couple of screamers in the Champions League.

Anyone who disagrees with this is wrong.

If Rogic played for a bottom end EPL/top end Championship club, what would he go for? If you can work that out then there's your ballpark figure. I really hope he signs an extension, though. He's great to watch and if we can get him injury free and playing regularly he's only going to improve.

Totally agree I've had a few so I think I should know, this guy is our next 10+ sale, no way Celtic won't sign him up again and cash in later.

English football is absolutely minted like my mate Deek.

Be good if he signed an extension after us sticking by him injury wise & bringing him through successfully.
Hate to see him go, after finally breaking through.

He could easily work with Rodgers, Siggy did which shows that number 10's do work for him.
Maybe he can convert to the deep playmaker with coaching & time?

Unless he signs a new contract - and I have my doubts he will - then we dont have the luxury of waiting a year. Given his current contract situation, I reckon we'd be lucky to get £5mill for him. But I'd like him to stay - he's one of our better players.

The only reason to sell Tom would be to either get money in for other players or BR doesn't think he'll fit into his system.

Money for other players - BR is supposed to have a half decent budget so shouldn't need the money for that. Tom wouldn't be looking for a super duper contract, just something better as being a 1st team player (not always first pick, but 50% yes). If we manage to get into the Champions League and he plays good in a few good games the rise n his value would offset any contract rise he got now.

He will most likely paly in the Olympics for Australia (yes, will clash with our CL Qualifiers), so another shop window to get his value going up if we hold on to him

He's just 23, this season will be the one to see how he goes with a good pre-season under his belt and a chance to get a good start to the season. Also BR coming in may give him a different role to play that suits the team (could he play a more holding midfield role, he is good with his feet in tight situations).

He's a keep for me, and see how this season goes for him
