Baffling decision from RD, he could have taken Brown, Roberts, CKR, Lustig off but took off the only p l Ayer that looked as though he was interested

He always ends up the default sub for some reason. Assumed it was for general fitness reasons but he looked in better nick than most of our other players at the weekend.

Would love to see him today but fitness recently looks awful. Last few times he's come on he's looked like he's been out on a bender.

Some fantastic touches today. Hopefully with some work on his fitness and stamina he can be a integral part of the 11 next season

Australian midfielder Tom Rogic is edging closer to a move to Europe's football elite with English Premier League giants Arsenal leading the chase for his signature.

After overcoming a horror lay-off due to injury, Rogic has bounced back to become one of Australia's hottest properties going into the upcoming European transfer window with Arsenal understood to have been in pursuit of the player for almost a year.

The North London club could submit an offer for Rogic once the transfer window opens in July having continued to monitor his progress in helping Celtic to a Scottish Premier League triumph this season.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder played an integral role in the title win, and with two games left to play he remains Celtic's second top scorer behind striker Leigh Griffiths. Nine goals in 37 appearances across all competitions marked an impressive return for the former Central Coast Mariners player who was recommended to Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger by Reading coach, Brian McDermott.

Having first tried to bring Rogic to Reading in 2013, McDermott is understood to have made the Gunners aware of the Socceroo last year when he briefly worked as Arsenal's chief scout.

Arsenal are yet to submit a formal offer and, while among the frontrunners for his signature, they will face heavy competition from clubs in Spain and Italy who are also interested in Rogic. The May 27 friendly between England and Australia at Sunderland's Stadium of Light is looming as a crucial match for Rogic's future with scouts from La Liga and the Serie A set to attend to assess the player's ability to perform against stars of the Premier League.

While Rogic remains contracted to Celtic, the European summer could be the last opportunity for the Glasgow club to cash-in on its star midfielder who enters the final year of his contract next season. Unless sold or signed to a contract extension, Rogic can begin negotiating a free transfer with rival clubs as of January 1, 2017.

So he'd be competing with Ozil for the No.10 jersey.

I don't fancy his chances.

A load of rubbish.

Nope, next year.

Hopefully we'll have signed him up on a longer deal before he can leave for nothing or anything daft like that.

I know I'm a Rogic fan but that story is laughable. Whilst I think he is good and can improve, he is nowhere near good enough for that level at the moment.

He's made a difference quite a bit as sub but I've not been that impressed with some of his performances when he's started.
