Delighted for Tom, after having watched him for many years when he played with the Central Coast Mariners.

Was very happy when he signed and credit to himself and the back room staff for getting him to where he is now.

He has a bit to go, but he's on the right track, that's for sure.

He is growing game by game, touch and passing are immaculate at times, if he keeps progressing he could be a huge player for Celtic in the near future. Much better option than Johansen for the no10 role at the moment.

A lot of credit has to go to RD and the backroom for giving him a fair chance. There was every chance after Lennon left that Rogic would have been cast adrift due to his injury, or loaned out with a view to sale/release, but the management team were smart enough to really look at what we had in terms of playing stock before making any decisions. I think this is the only time the "like a new signing" cliché has actually fit.

Leigh Griffiths certainly has, it's no coincidence that Leigh has been off his game without Rogic's creativity behind him.

I didn't think he'd make it. Injuries have not helped, but I remember reading an interview with him where he admitted the SPL was far tougher than he ever expected. He has stepped up to the mark this season and I swear he has rubber ankles the number of times he comes out with the ball from seemingly impossible situations.

Or we will punt him to Southampton.

it is the sun but it is strange hes not even making the bench when ronny has said he is fit and only a few weeks after he confirmed they were in contract talks. wouldnt be surprised or bothered if true.

Quote:

RONNY DEILA fears Tom Rogic is set to follow James Forrest and reject a new deal at Celtic.

SunSport understands talks over an improved contract for the Australian midfielder have stalled.

It is believed Leeds United target Rogic is becoming increasingly keen on the idea of playing in England.

That will be a huge blow to Celtic boss Deila, hot on the heels of Forrest snubbing the chance to extend his stay with the champions.

Rogic, 23, has 15 months left on the deal he signed when he moved from Central Coast Mariners to Parkhead in January 2013 for £400,000.

But if he indicates he would like to move on Celtic will try to cash in this summer, rather than risk losing him for nothing a year later.

Rogic has made 29 appearances this season, scoring seven goals, but hasn’t even been on the bench for the last two games against Hamilton Accies and Caley Thistle.

He last appeared as a 76th-minute sub in the 2-0 win over Ross County on February 13.

Rogic — whose spell in Scotland has been hit by injuries — revealed last November that contract talks had started and he expressed a willingness to stay at Celtic longer.

But it emerged early in January that English Championship outfit Leeds United had enquired about his availability.

Celtic made it clear to their Scots manager and childhood Hoops fan Steve Evans that Rogic was not for sale.

However, there is still no sign yet of the player putting pen to paper.

While Deila hopes Rogic can be persuaded to stay, other English sides and several European clubs are monitoring the 13-times capped star’s situation.

It emerged last week that winger Forrest had knocked back a bumper new four-year offer, with his deal due to expire at the end of this year.

The 24-year-old Hoops academy graduate wants to explore interest elsewhere and Deila is now resigned to him being sold in the summer.

Would explain his absence from the team. Really hope we get it sorted soon. Better player than those playing in there just now.
