Why was he taken off on Friday night?

Fitness? Or just poor managerial decision making? Or wrapping him in cotton wool?
We were 4-1 up at the time so I wouldn't call it poor managerial decision making. Probably wrapping him in cotton wool given his injury record. He done the same with Forrest for a while.

I think we've told him to give it his all for an hour. We've taken him off nearly every game he's started.

I'll be happy if Rogic wants to play every minute of every match but also glad to see Ronnie taking the cautious route and allowing Rogic to get matches under his belt without either burning him out or suffering injury problems. It will be far better for Tom Rogic to play for an hour of 30 games this season than playing for 90 minutes for 5 games before either gettng injured or burned out.

I'd imagine he will get to see out more games next season as he strenghtens and improves on his fitness.

I thought he was just being spared the additional minutes with his substitution. It was 4-1 against the worst team in the league. The game was finished.

Major turnaround for the boy. From injury prone, confidence lacking forgotten man to the type of player we are now resting for future battles.

It seems to be taking him an awful long time to get match fit.

It's January now and he's been in the team pretty much all season. Was he injured for most of last season?

I think this is all about building stamina and muscle memory for a career in modern football.

Really glad everyone's now seeing what I was so excited about a few years ago when we signed him. I honestly thought it had passed him by after that stupid loan spell and injury.

Sure he only has a year or so left on his contract. Should start negotiations now.

Paddy McCourt mk II. :ph43r:
He's good but he couldn't lace Paddy's boots.
He'll have a much better career than the good Paddy.

I've never understood the amount of flak he takes on here. He's going to go all the way. His passing and ability to turn and ride a challenge is exceptional. A starter for every game as far as I'm concerned.

Great talent but needs to apply it more. Played well tonight but needs to perform for longer in games, I know he was injured, and for more games.

Another I really like to watch.

Be interesting to see if we could fit him and Allan into the same team.
