I don't generally get involved in this stuff but it's about time that the tune for Time For Action - Secret Affair - was used for someone.
Would work well on the terraces with the right (simple) lyrics.

(Just a) bit tongue in cheek this one, meant to be sung to the tune of 'I should be so lucky' by Kylie. Turns out not much rhymes with 'lucky' so it ended up more of a paean to fortified tonic wine. Next time I'll start with the chorus; I wonder if Rod Stewart has these problems? :ponder:

Open up the Buckie
Buckie, Buckie, Buckie
Open up the Buckie it's Tam
Open up the Buckie
Buckie, Buckie, Buckie
Open up the Buckie it's Tam :ph43r:
 but only for the mental image of Kylie Minogue singing, ‘Open up the Buckie.’

The rest? Respectfully :nono:
I'm just going to point out that this is a bit of a parody of some of the... er, more interesting efforts I've been reading on here. I don't actually expect the Parkhead faithful to start bawling out the words "Antipodean esprit" to the tune of Kylie anytime soon. (Although I have sketched out some rough dance moves if anyone wants to PM me for further details. Very fluid, sexually charged stuff, so be warned.)

I just hope he's professional enough and doesn't get upset when he scores his second and gets subbed.
I just hope he's professional enough not to start greeting when he hears all his new songs.

He reminds me of LeTissier. (I know, bear with me...)

Capable of doing things no one else on the park can.

Can be an absolute liability when things aren't going well.

Not enough of a complete player to make the move to a huge club.

The fans overlook the other parts for the magic moments he provides. Including the winner in the 2018 Cup Final.

Pretty much how I see it. A player who can do wonderful things more than a wonderful player. As long as we have other players who can cover for him when he goes off after 60 minutes, is injured or in Australia, or is having a stinker we will be fine. Definitely worth keeping.

Quite right too. No one remembers Da Vinci's paintings that ended up scrunched in a ball, or the sculptures where he chiselled an arm off by mistake. And his first effort at a tank was probably shampooe as well.

That's it though. That's what we love about him.

Ten minutes of Tom Rogic is worth a season of yer average journeyman. Celtic is his perfect fit, a club who cherish entertaining football, played in the right spirit. Rogic will huff and puff, and frustrate and annoy, but when it clicks, aw man....

We have loved the maverick from time immemorial. That's what we loved about Jimmy Johnstone and Lubo and Di Canio and Andy Ritchie and Charlie Nicholas and all the other fantastic entertainers we have been blessed to see over the decades.

Tom could have gone elsewhere , probably for more money, certainly closer to home and warmer, but he KNOWS he is at his spiritual home, a club and a fanbase who will tolerate the off days for the moment of magic that lifts us to heights other players can only dream about. Tom Rogic fits Celtic, and Celtic fits Tom Rogic.

Here's to 5 more years of occasional genius. Starting today, hopefully.

You nailed it there, big fella! Guys like that make football worth watching, and even into the mists of time Celtic have been famous for them when you read the history books. There's a few more mavericks you could add to that list even in my lifetime, from Charlie Tully and Willie Fernie in the 50s to Paddy McCourt more recently, guys capable of making you wonder if you can believe what you've just seen. :worthy:

McCourt is an interesting one. He didn't have Tam's physical attributes but suffered from similar issues of stamina. But, like Tam, scored some phenomenal goals. We are blessed to support a club which reveres the maverick as much as the great.
