Is Scott Allan injured? If not I'd try a central three of Brown, Armstrong and Allan just to see what it looked like and since we don't seem to have many options for Ajax. Brown would have to really protect the defence though because there isn't a holding player between the three of them. :twitch:
Allan is expecting to be in the squad again on Saturday, he should be getting a start soon.
Good stuff, thanks

Agree, deserves his chance. Baffled as to why Ronny sticks McGregor on ahead of him even for the last 15-20 minutes.

I like Rogic, he seems to have enough to perform on a big stage but lack of pace is a problem. You could also put lack of pace into most comments about the current squad

He had another poor game after a long trip with the Aussie squad, it`s been pointed out a few times in this thread that he seems done when he comes back from international duty, wish some folk in the dugout would notice that.

Great technical ability to score a goal like that today.
Hope he takes it & runs with it, needs the confidence after all his injuries.
On that note, I hope it wasn't too bad.

I'd agree with that.

Seems like he struggles when he has too much space.

Probably the only player I enjoyed watching today.

Not everything worked out for him, but one thing I noticed he does very well is make forward passes to players in stride. Our wingers don't have to stop and turn back to the ball when he plays it to them, which keeps the break flowing instead of slowing it. Hope some of our other players take note.

God knows but a few weeks ago there were geniuses on here telling us he wasn't suited to playing away from home  :ponder:

I think he's just a bit inconsistent. Definitely has the ability and has scored a decent amount of goals.

His lack of pace and his seeming lack of fitness are holding him back a bit. I also think that he is the sort of player who tries to make things happen all the time so he wil rarely be anonymous but when things aren't going well he'll look absolutely terrible.

Worth persevering with though.

Probably because he's slower moving than my boxing day shampooe. He's technically great but he's not particularly athletic.

The time to properly judge Rogic will be next season imo. He's doing fine. One of the only players worth watching on his game.

Spot on, he could definitely improve in some areas, but the way he can manipulate the ball in tight situations is superb at times. Great goal today, the one real shining light.

He did well today. He also took his goal well. The list of names to blame for this current lack of form is long and distinguished. He, however should not be on that list.

He's got a left foot that's worth its weight in gold. Consistency will come with games, and hopefully fitness too, but he has a magic that no one else in our side has. There was one move in the first half where he looked like he was moonwalking through their defence. If he could add a burst of speed, he'd be EPL bound before Lawwell could say " now this years bonus..."

Got to agree.

I like watching him take men on in tight situations where other players annoy me trying the same thing.( Bitton )

Has become a big threat in some difficult away games recently which has been a pleasant surprise.

Brilliant goal at Dingwall to put us on the road to victory , man of the match on a difficult pitch at Perth , excellent as a scoring sub at Tynecastle in the cup and another belter today.

Poor games as well but I would settle for that from the rest of the squad.

One of the few things to look forward to in this Celtic side.

Yeah, absolutely. He'll get fitter too. On a better Celtic team he'd be seen as progressing really nicely.

You can't help but want him to do well. There's nothing better than watching a player who initially struggles to completely turn it around completely like Petrov. Technically he's probably the silkiest player in the team but physically he lacks that bit of pace and strength. Given how little football he has played over the past 4 years I hope that side of his game can continue to improve. He's scored some truly lovely goals this season.
