We're needing someone who can put his foot on the ball, do a 360 and lose it.

I think he'll be forced to go 4-4-2 through necessity for that one. Be interesting to see how it works. It could be the best way to protect the defence

Sore quad for Rogic. Hopefully it's just a precaution. He's really not needed against Bangladesh in Dhaka midweek - sending him back to Scotland is best for all concerned.

The defender doesn't know what he'll do next because he doesn't know what he'll do next.

Is Scott Allan injured? If not I'd try a central three of Brown, Armstrong and Allan just to see what it looked like and since we don't seem to have many options for Ajax. Brown would have to really protect the defence though because there isn't a holding player between the three of them. :twitch:

I assume you're putting Allan in the hole and counting that as part of the 3, cos Ronny will put feck all but a 4-2-3-1 out.

Hmm. It was more what I'd like to see than what I expect. To be honest I have only seen Allan play very briefly for Hibs and obviously us so I don't exactly know where he would fit in.

To be fair, away to Ajax we did play with a tighter 3 in the midfield of Brown, Bitton and Johansen and it was quite good, certainly in the first half. Not far off a 4-3-3 with Commons and Forrest getting some freedom to support Griffiths. That may have been tactical or it may have just been a case of Johansen doing whatever the eff he wanted though

Allan is expecting to be in the squad again on Saturday, he should be getting a start soon.
