The nonchalance after he thuds it into the net is superb. Great strike.
They've been playing like shampoo. Not much to get worked up about, unfortunately. They'll get pumped at the Confeds if their defence continues to be so poor. Ryan McGowan's had a shocker.
Aye, no sure it was nonchalance as much as "I'm better than this pish"

I know, shocker, right?

He's been better in the second half, but geeze, to have to rely on him as a first team player...

Finished the full 90. Retains godlike status in Australia.

ex-Celt Jackson Irvine played about an hour. Had a quiet game.

Watched the 2nd half on Channel 9, Rogic goal was a peach. The game was honking.

Watching international football isn't any better than watching pre-season friendlies unless it's a big tournament or you have a vested interest i.e. Scotland v England on Saturday.

It reinforced how lucky we've been this season to watch Celtic play so well. It was like sandpaper on the eyes.

Just out of curiosity...

Was just watching a video there on youtube where some Aussie pundits were debating whether Rogic was the best number 10 they've ever had. They all agreed that he 'could be', but not yet, but didn't mention any names of who would be better than him. The only person I can think of being in the running is Harry Kewell. Am I forgetting anyone? I didn't think Australia had that many great players in their history, at least not in recent years, but maybe I'm getting forgetful in ma old age.

Even though he wasn't a traditional number 10, Cahill still played the position of a number 10 pretty much I'd say.

He's still got two years left but I'd get him a new contract if we could. If he has a good World Cup we could be looking at only having 12 months left which would really dent our position imo.

I'd argue we haven't had many proper 10s in Australia. Kewell probably wasn't either. Mark Bresciano was another attacking midfielder with a good record. Josip Skoko did well in Europe too, but Rogic has already surpassed him. Craig Johnston is another considered one of our best despite the fact he never pulled on a boot for Australia.

Kewell's considered the benchmark here, I suspect that's who the pundits were thinking of.

Celtic worked his rehab wonderfully. Folk were obsessing about getting him ready for Scottish cup semi final. Fact was that he was never going to be 100% up to speed until during or just after Confed cup which is ideal timing for our CL qualifiers

Posted in the other thread, but here's the rogic goal:

Also, wasn't there an australian #10 who played in switzerland for a while that was prettygood? Or was that Bresciano? Feel like i remember watching an aussie we were linked with play when my aunt was living in zurich.
