Or does the statistics say something after all? Rogic is a very valuable player for Celtic and I think he has improved most defensively. He looks to be in better shape and can play 90 minutes which also shows in his defensive efforts. Roberts has improved defensively as well. It´s also gold to have a midfielder threatening from distance, and it´s right to try. And i think he´s actually a more effective dribbler than Roberts; he causes a lot of unbalance i the opponents defence. However, when he has passed one man - in these situations - I think he´s sometimes too eager to see it off himself instead of finding a better placed team-mate. I wonder if he could look around in these situations, when he´s left with one man between himself and their goalkeeper, his assist stats would have been better.

Tom may shot a lot, but in the last few games it's his killer pass that's set up a fair few goals.

Robert's (to me) seems to hardly ever pass, and always wants to beat a defender 10 times (a slight bit of exaggeration) before he would think of passing.

Tom may have his faults, but there's progress throughout his game, passing, shooting, and especially defensively (just wish he would go in a wee bit harder sometimes)

Love him, the close controlto get out of difficult spots is Zidane or Riquelme like, and through baws we have been desperate for since Naka went.

A joy to watch.

His pass for Christie's goal against Motherwell in the last game of the season was an absolute joy. Had me fooled in the stands but the switch of feet and through ball was sublime. :worthy:
His creating chances is a must improve area for him, 3 assists in 24 games this season, is way way way to little for player in his position
  oh wait you're actually being serious

Absolutely love big Tam, such a good player - think with Sinclair missing I think we've really been over-reliant on Tam to provide that creativity. He's not done half bad though

He's a fantastic player. There are down sides to Rogic and that is why he is at Celtic. If there were fewer or lesser down sides he wouldn't even be near us. However the good far, far outweighs the bad.

I have learned that getting on the back of a player who is constantly trying to play the through ball is incredibly harsh. Players like that are always trying the most difficult things and it will frequently not come off.

I think what happens in Scotland is that players like that can end up slated because they don't make that pass 70% of the time, or didn't work back enough.

I think a manager like Rodgers sees just how essential he is to this team. He's frequently responsible for the most brilliant thing the team does on the pitch and some of his goals tend to exemplify how much of a stand out he is.

Like every player, he has things he can work on. I saw signs against City away that he is making some progress there.

I like to pop on every month or so, propose a song, get slated, shrug shoulders, go away and lick wounds, come back and start again.

So today's offering now is for Tom Rogic - he doesn't have a song - to the tune of the wild colonial boy:

There was a young colonial bhoy, Tom Rogic is his name
He was born and raised down under and the football is his game
He is his nations favourite son, his countries pride and joy
And dearly do the Celtic love their young colonial bhoy

At the early age of twenty years, he left his native home
And off to Scotland's distant shore, he was inclined to roam
He plays with style, he scores great goals, he fills the Tims with joy
A credit to Australia is our young colonial bhoy

Don't be too harsh it's Christmas :ffs:

One of our most important players. The team won't be the same with a McGregor, Armstrong, Christie or whoever in there. Here's hoping it's nit bad but Rogic looked upset when he came off. Has he done an ankle before?

If he has any swelling at all I would expect him to be in a boot.

I know cos my Mrs recently got pished, fell down the front stairs and sprained her ankle.
