Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
His creating chances is a must improve area for him, 3 assists in 24 games this season, is way way way to little for player in his position
Could have sworn he has over double amount of 3 assists?
not according to transfermark

Love him, the close controlto get out of difficult spots is Zidane or Riquelme like, and through baws we have been desperate for since Naka went.

A joy to watch.

His pass for Christie's goal against Motherwell in the last game of the season was an absolute joy. Had me fooled in the stands but the switch of feet and through ball was sublime. :worthy:

The assists stat is a nonsense.

He's by far the most creative player in our team.

Yeah that sounds like Rogic playing the direct final ball. It doesn't legislate for the 2nd last pass or the space creation which makes him such a key creative threat.

Same here, the guy is tremendous. Another 90 minutes as well and still chasing down near the end.

He is so good at dribbling, so enjoyable to watch him waltzing around everyone. His footwork after griffiths went down in the box was mesmerizing.

see the assist statistic stuff, it's skewed tae feck.

Griffiths taps a free kick sideways to Armstrong v Thistle. Armstrong scores, Griffiths gets assist.

Rogic plays pass of the night v Hamilton to Dembele, who squares to Griffiths, Dembele gets assist.

Assist statistics, like statistics re football generally, are pish for obsessives. Who cares if a team had 62% posession but got beat 3-0?
Football was a much better game when we didn't have page after page of meaningless drivel masquerading as "statistics"

His assist stats don't take account of passes that were NOT converted. It would be a better stat all round if it counted chances created rather than just those converted into goals.

Scott Allan got an assist last season for laying the ball off for McGregor to shoot from 20 yards.
Unreliable stat.

Involved in all our best moves last night.
Terrific pass for the goal, great shot second half that missed by inches.

Totally agree on the assist stat, but the relevant statistics in football - used correctly - are invaluable.

Agreed. Lazy stats (assists, passes completed, possession) don't really tell you anything about what's happened or how it can be bettered. Guys like our nobody assistant manager understand which stats are useful and how to implement them.

Most statistics are valuable.

It's good when nuanced is applied so there's a happy middle ground between obsessing on every stat without it being applied properly, and adopting some stupid anti-stat mindset.
