What's the thoughts then?

I think there is something there. Very skilful but ponderous at times and his lack of pace is a worry.

I know I have an obsession with loan deals but a wee 4 months at another SPL team getting him 90 minutes every week might be exactly what he needs.

Worth persevering with for now I think but is he any better than Liam Henderson?

He's definitely got potential. I just can't see him being in the team when everyone's fit, so a loan move might work out quite well.

He's a decent squad player and hopefully with some improved fitness and confidence he can start contributing regularly. He's a good option in the 10 role due to his touch/awareness.

Technically very decent, but needs games. Often when we sign players from abroad we speak about them taking a few months to adjust to the pace of the Scottish game, and I don't think Rogic is any different (yes, I realise he's not a new signing, but he has barely played any SPL football in the past two seasons). Tonight, Killie didn't give us a second on the ball in the final third and Rogic suffered as a result - although he was not alone in that respect. Don't think a short loan spell would do him much harm.

As for your last point, I think Henderson has more to his game at this point and should be ahead of both Rogic and McGregor in the pecking order.

Decent enough player but I'd have Johansen or Armstrong in there before him.

Decent technique, more direct and attack minded than other options. Lacks pace and isn't that clever with his final ball or decision making though.

Definitely a player in there, but he has hardly kicked a ball the past 18 months.

Would absolutely benefit from going on loan.

Got loads of ability but totally lacking match sharpness. I thought we would have been much better with him and Johansen swapped over as he can pass a ball quicker and better.

I like him.

If we hadn't conceded the penalty everybody would be in a better mood and his performance looked on a bit more favourably than seems to be the case now.

I think he is a threat -but I don't know if he has the strength or pace to make it with us.

If it comes down to choices - they are different types of players - but I think Liam Henderson has a better chance in the long term.

Looks like he's playing within himself a wee bit. His assist against Cally Thistle a couple of years ago shows what sort of an attacking threat he can and should be.

By December I think he'll be doing really well for us. I'd like to see him a bit deeper, though. Thought him and Johansen needed to switch.

Rogic clearly has ability, should be kept in the first team as a fringe player until January at least, but I still wish Henderson had been given an opportunity first of all.

Seems bizarre why he hasn't.

I've always liked him, he needs a run of games which I doubt he'll get because of the players he's competing with for that 1 position behind the striker so maybe a loan till xmas would be beneficial.

Nonsense. The penalty had no bearing on my thoughts of his performance. He was pish before we conceded the penalty and pish after it.

He was one of the best on the park against Partick Thistle though. He deserves more game time, IMO. Which will probably come after the CL playoffs against Malmo.

I don't think he'll make it.

He's really not sharp enough and dithers on the ball far too often. Doesn't seem to have a clear vision on what he wants to do when he receives the ball.

Agree.

Too slow for me as well.

OK. Not great. Too slow at times.

Will not improve our starting 11.

Two years with barely a competitive game at a decent level is clearly showing. Mentally he wasn't sharp, but that will come with game time.

The boy's got the talent to be a good player, and looks like he could be a long-term replacement for Bitton. He's a better passer than everyone in the midfield other than Nir. Not too concerned about the lack of pace in that position.

And I don't really think it has to be a case of Rogic or Henderson. We can find a place in the midfield for both, imo.

What age is he btw?
