I don't know, but I felt that argument got needlessly personal.
Only by BFDJ raging that he'd spat out his pork pie. Sutton was mercilessly indifferent and calm.
I think Sutton could've picked anyone out of that SSN panel, I just think that he singled BFDJ too much. Don't get me wrong, I still agree with everything that Sutton said.
BFDJ had a real go at Sutton on Monday nights program, TEG made reference to it when he started.

Derek a master of the old Molotov style of debate -- keep saying the same thing over and over again only say it louder each time, all the while talking over your opponent because you have the mic. The two most telling points of the exchange were the fat fool's scandalous remark about bodyguards and his inability to back up his "porkies" allegation when challenged.

Sutton missed an open goal, however, when he failed to press home his advantage on McCoist. The fat fool backed Sally to the hilt -- Chris should have asked him if he still thought McCoist was a good manager, and then compared him to Warburton. Still fun, though. :)
He didn't need to:

"A did tell the truth, that is what I believed at the time, and I still do". (about McCoist)

Brilliant stuff from Sutton. :worthy:
It is long overdue that Johnson was called out for what he is. The fat hun buffoon showed his true colours tonight, an angry, bitter man who just shouts over others to try and win an argument.

That was an evisceration. Got to love him. Yes, he called out Deila. Yes he went on a bit. He was right though, and he was right tonight. And he pulled the plug in Manchester so all in all 😍

Not a fan of Sutton off the pitch for us but effing hell that was glorious. For once his utter contempt for every other person was useful as a pundit!

Brilliant. BFDJ had no clue what to do. Could hear him just panting in fear/anger like a dug. The first time Clyde has been worth listening to outside of the word of Laurie/Lawrie for some time.

He's been taking pot shots and wee digs for a while.

'I'll give Warburton time, just like I gave Deila time after the Malmo game, unlike some people' ect.

eff the fat mess. Delighted Sutton got tore in.

Didn't hear the aftermath, did Shug back up bfdj?
It was interesting that after the immediate aftermath and advert break there was no real reference, for the rest of the show, back to the interchange, not even at the end where I thought Gerry might have tried to make light of it all, or wind up the show with a jokey quip. For the remainder of the show it was like there were two elephants in the room.
same thing happened the night alex thompson destroyed Keevins...after he left the studio(he was only there for about 15 minutes) he was never mentioned again for the remainder of the show , it was as if it never happened....Lennon had been involved in some controversy the previous weekend and i remember that every single call on the show that night was huns slating him..Thompson came and went and it was as if he had never been there...as someone mentioned earlier programmes like Clyde have been getting away witht his format for years and when a new pundit with a point of view comes in it shows it up for what it really is cliquish self congratulatory nonsense
yip, from what I remember the Thommo appearance on SSB felt as though, for a brief moment, good sense and balance had landed on the programme. Today I was surprised that none of the calls that followed were from huns wanting to get stuck in to Sutton. Maybe those sorts of calls will come tomorrow, or maybe they were getting filtered out due to Hugh being pally with him.

This is big Sutton as he is, and why his Celtic team was so ruthless and successful, in the dressing room with guys like this, there is no hiding place, get on it or ship out, simple. That is what every team needs.

Talking of his ruthlessness reminds me of the Valencia game in 2001. One of their players had been niggling TEG but there was only ever going to be one winner. The ball was going out of play at one side of the pitch when at the other Sutton casually walks past the Valencia guy, studs down his Achilles without breaking stride. Spaniard collapses in agony, Sutton looks around astonished that anything had happened. No booking.

Never got an issue with Sutton critiquing us - does it with everyone. Don't want our own version of Hateley. Just not a fan of his smug, arrogant style. But he done us a turn on the pitch because of that arrogance, so cool with me!

Derek got handed his dinner big time. Sutton was ruthless in calling him out for exactly what he is. There was even a zombie on the line shortly after. I was expecting him to defend his brethren only for his own kind to also get torn in, blasting him for his blind backing of Chuckles and the Easedales.

A true hunskelper of a show was rounded of by Shug calling Alex Rae a Fiesta of a manager (in relation to other managers being a Rolls Royce) after getting the sack at St Mirren.

:lolhuns:

Edit: Just remembered, the panel roundly agreeing that Lee Wallace's words were inspirational and no doubt used in an uplifting Sevco teamtalk. He was talking about how at the very least you get a healthy meal at the bestest club in the world with the bestest fans and you should be grateful. :ffs: :cuckoo:

Just in from work and had a second listen to this. Simply sensational, not only did the big man own BFDJ he can take him home and feed him a nice big juicy bone and set a cushioned corner aside in his living room. He will forever be Suttons pet.

Oh, man... that was a brutal, unrelenting killshot from Sutton. Even when Gerry said "Let's keep this professional, it's not personal" and then BFDJ fires in with his voice cracking "OF COURSE IT'S PERSONAL!"

Remember back in the dark era of the early 90s when BFDJ was jumping on the McNee bandwagon and making Roy Aitken's life a misery week in week out.

GIRFUY, fat man.
