Didn't hear the aftermath, did Shug back up bfdj?
It was interesting that after the immediate aftermath and advert break there was no real reference, for the rest of the show, back to the interchange, not even at the end where I thought Gerry might have tried to make light of it all, or wind up the show with a jokey quip. For the remainder of the show it was like there were two elephants in the room.

That's a beautiful hunskelping right there. Called him out as a charlatan, offered him a chance to argue otherwise and set him off on a hysterical rant with no substance thereby proving Sutton's point. All the while he maintains a cool composure. Game, set and match.
I do love the Evil Genius and its nice from a Celtic perspective to see someone fight our corner for once. :)

He's not fighting our corner, he's just being honest. This is how things should be. When a little impartiality rears its head, it seems like a win for us but it is exactly how a pundit should conduct themselves.

I don't know, but I felt that argument got needlessly personal.

While i agree with Suttons comments on bfdj,i can't understand why he even bothered getting into a conversation with the idiot.

TBO i found the whole thing pointless and a bit embarrassing.

Big Chris really doesn't GAF. lol.

I thought it was interesting when BFDJ said : "I've been a pundit for 25 years and never needed two bodyguards" , as if it proved he was doing something right.
He never considered what a disgraceful reflection it was on the huns support that Chris needed two bodyguards to go to Ibrox on Tuesday night , just for having an opinion they disagree with.

Most telling.

Only by BFDJ raging that he'd spat out his pork pie. Sutton was mercilessly indifferent and calm.

Johnstone has always played the big round jovial hun card...in reality he just another bitter fat orange bastard who has no comprehension as to how to construct any sort of argument , just gets louder and angrier until the adverts drown him out

I think Sutton could've picked anyone out of that SSN panel, I just think that he singled BFDJ too much. Don't get me wrong, I still agree with everything that Sutton said.

How BFDJ still gets a gig is beyond me. The man is a joke figure. The fact none of the other Clyde regulars could do or say anything to back their pal up says it all for me.
he gets the gig cause Clyde is a closed shop full of back slapping self congratulatory has beens who stick to the programme and never rock the boat...bet Alex Rae will be back on tomorrow......Keevins and McCulloch could say nothing to defend him cause they knew Sutton was spot on...keevins tried to be some sort of magnanimous referee but came across as an old fud who knew what was really going down but would never want to upset his big pal DJ..he is also seemingly on first name terms with Sutton so tried to keep a balanced view by bringing "legalities" into it ..though eff knows why..he ended sounding like a rambling old carrot who had taken too many meds

Derek a master of the old Molotov style of debate -- keep saying the same thing over and over again only say it louder each time, all the while talking over your opponent because you have the mic. The two most telling points of the exchange were the fat fool's scandalous remark about bodyguards and his inability to back up his "porkies" allegation when challenged.

Sutton missed an open goal, however, when he failed to press home his advantage on McCoist. The fat fool backed Sally to the hilt -- Chris should have asked him if he still thought McCoist was a good manager, and then compared him to Warburton. Still fun, though. :)

same thing happened the night alex thompson destroyed Keevins...after he left the studio(he was only there for about 15 minutes) he was never mentioned again for the remainder of the show , it was as if it never happened....Lennon had been involved in some controversy the previous weekend and i remember that every single call on the show that night was huns slating him..Thompson came and went and it was as if he had never been there...as someone mentioned earlier programmes like Clyde have been getting away witht his format for years and when a new pundit with a point of view comes in it shows it up for what it really is cliquish self congratulatory nonsense

Sutton's forthright criticism of DJ was in a roundabout way as strong a criticism of SSB itself (and to an extent the MSM as a whole) for giving apologists like DJ (and other proponents of establishment clubs old and new) such a prominent place on the show in the first place. This is a point which I think won't be lost on the show's more sentient participants such as Gerry McCulloch and perhaps its producers.

am sure these points are not missed on guys like McCulloch but to be honest his opinion or the producers wont matter an eff cause the head of sports on Bauer Media(thats the company that owns Clyde) Is "Big" Lorraine Herbison and you only need to look at her twitter page to know why BFDJ gets the gig
