Gerry has been on all this week laughing it off, saying its fake news and incorrect?

Edit - I think it was one of the early weeks I heard him speaking to Gordon Duncan on the show, so if he has confirmed it since, I've missed it.

No fan of McCulloch but I'm sure Gordon Duncan has covered a few times, he's dreadful.

I liked delahunt.
Yeah, so did I. Shame his DD conviction cost him the gig tho, think his old man had passed around the time and he was having a tough time of things. Shame, I always felt Clyde could maybe have went down a different route than dismissal with Jim.
I think Jim quit but I suspect it was more of a quit or be sacked situation. Would like to see him back as host but I think he prefers the horse racing anyway these days.

Whilst the narrative since last night is we lost the game 1-3, I've found it a little bit refreshing to hear the talk this afternoon which implies the Hun lost 2-1 today.

They won, rightly or wrongly, and yet their nonentity squad still got pelters.

Bravo

These morons as part of their teaser were asking did Ajax only win 1 European Cup back in the 70s.

Em no they won 3 in the 70s, won it again in 95 & lost the 96 final.

365 days since we lost a domestic game :worthy: BR
Magic! :worthy:

Remember the 'gaun fur the wurld record' chat when we went to Ibrox on Hogmanay.....undefeated at home for almost a full calendar year, Warbiola genius.....

Undefeated anywhere in Scotland for a year.....How'd ya like them apples, Huns!!!
:rocker:
How is that a record, we didn't lose at Celtic Park for 3 years against anyone, Rangers, Juve, Porto, Valencia, Barcelona, Lyon, Liverpool etc.

From Ajax winning 1-0 in August 2001 to Aberdeen winning 2-1 in April 2004.

The wage structure on SSB is a bit baffling. Obviously McCulloch will be higher paid than the rest of them and on a salary. If he is coming to Celtic does that signal that we are ramping up our in house media production?

Then you have wancell who is meant to be DOF at Airdrie but spends Saturday afternoons in the studio/covering games for clyde :cuckoo:

Is the SSB pundit wedge really too good to give up? It's been reported as pretty paltry on here in the past.

Id love to think Gerry going back to Celtic
is a precursor to BT Sports getting all the scottish games
and Celtic having the same celtic tv set up like we used to
have under Setanta.

Cant see him just going back to do the generic week to week
production stuff.

I think we've seen the end of club tv on satelite tv/cable like Celtic/Rangers/Arsenal TV on Setanta.

Online streaming & data's to res full of old programming on demands the future.

Lets hope not. This is the guy who on live radio said being called a Celtic fan is "an insult to his intelligence". Feck him.

Anyone listen to the phone in tonight?
They had a quiz question, players who started their career in Britain, went abroad, and returned. Both initials had to be the same. This was all after Jimmy Johnstone done it. Their complete list was ;Jimmy Johnstone
Kevin keegan
Murdo mcleod
Simon stainroid
Davie dodds
Joe Jordan
Mark mcnally
Danny dichio
Mark McGhee

Now I didn't get to listen to the results, and was gonna get it in the podcast, but started thinking of them. Had a couple that are there, but also had Micky Mellon, Liam Lawrence, and Fransesc Fabregas. If anyone on here phones up, you's have my position to correct them

Reminds me of the time I heard Peter Martin/Maguire on the Monday evening phone in going on about an incident he had saw at the game he had been at that weekend, but I had seen him standing outside Marks and Spencer's laden with shopping bags on Sauchiehall St while that game was being played.

Shame Gerry is leaving...I only really started listening to it on a regular basis again with him presenting it...otherwise it was pointless. He's smart enough to actually take the time to get to the root cause of an issue and / or someone's point. It also comes across that he quite enjoys it and has a decent sense of humour. Seems to have a good rapport with all panel members and occasionally manages to get something resembling a sentence out of Alex thingmy Rae.

PS - think I heard that 'insult to his intelligence' one...from memory he was saying that it's an insult to his intelligence to say that because of his background he could not make an objective comment on Celtic.

I see the times are calling for a plaque for our players who died in ww1. Have we acknowleged those players before in amy way, similar to what hearts have done?

How is WW1 viewed in ireland? I know the irish also fought in it but the easter uprising also happened during that time.
