I'm not listening but on twitter they are saying that Gerry said at the start of the show there will be no discussion about EBTs lol

Sweep sweep sweep
Can anyone on here confirm if this is true?
It's true, that's sort of what he said - no calls would be entertained about EBTs unless they brought "something new" to the debate. You could tell from the way he said it, though, that no EBT related calls would be entertained full stop. I think it was EBT boy Alex Rae on the panel again, so my radio was quickly switched aff.

Sounds like SSB have already "moved on".

edit: to amend to the correct Rae

Alex Rae is truly the missing link. He was bleating on about how mean Mike Ashley is being to Rainjurs, and also giving advice on how they should deal with the rolling contact they have with SD. Y'know, what with him being a corporate lawyer and all :cuckoo:

Why would anyone listen to a bunch of cabbages like fat Johnstone, Alex Rae and Gordon Dalziel et al and expect to hear anything more than illiterate and inane pro-hun drivel?

It's bottom of the barrel stuff and the agenda is set already. They are not going to countenance that the huns did anything wrong so they don't want to hear about title stripping. Far better to just ignore them and let their advertisers worry about paying for it.

Life is too short to get annoyed about them. The BBC on the other hand are an ongoing disgrace and utterly deserving of our ire. Funded by a poll tax and spouting lies and misinformation. Quite frankly the sooner it goes the better as far as i am concerned.

I am sure repaying the £5 million interest free loan might be a good start

The fact that BBC had Roger Mitchell on last night, spouting his incredible pish unchallenged, was bad enough. But to add insult to injury they had him back on their news show this morning, with his "much ado about nothing" quote. The BBC are beneath contempt.

Remember when we were waiting on the outcome of the original tax tribunal? They couldn't discuss it as they weren't tax experts. When the idiots on the tribunal announced their judgement and dismissed Hector's claim they couldn't stop talking about it with a newly discovered knowledge of intricate tax law. When Hector appealed the vow of silence on the subject began again. When Hector lost again it's full on triumphalism of tax evasion. Now Hector has won they've lost their voice again. Funny that.

That Mitchell is either telling porches about being a Celtic fan, a total halfwit or has something to hide. Either way he is not part of the solution here. He is part of the problem.

It's not the whole BBC, it's just BBC Scotland.

I must confess to being an idiot . I do listen to it for about 45 minutes a night when i'm out my walk. I know it's pro-hun drivel for the most part and thats kinda what i enjoy , i find it hilarious listening to them tie up in knots to defend the clubs old AND new , i spend most of the minutes laughing out loud, other folk out walking the dog must think i'm , well, an idiot.

Heard that "something new" patter. Risible!

Gerry ----- "First caller is a Celtic fan. William from Larkhall. On ye go, William".

William ----- "Hello Gerry. Hi Mark. Hiya Alexei. I would just like to talk about Ronny Delilah. Will he be oot the door if he doesn't win the treble, coz his record in Europe is gash?"

The late. great Ian Dury best summed up the panels of these shows with the words "arseholes, bastards effing ***** and pumpkins".

They make we wish i could go back in time and murder Marconi. Would you murder baby Marconi?
