I can't remember the specifics but I think Richmond quit refereeing after being demoted by the SFA. He had effectively been subject to the refereeing equivalent of poor performance monitoring and was even offered special support and training to help improve his performance. This was to no avail and he continued to be marked as one of the poorest refs making frequent errors.

An utterly bizarre choice for the media to use as a refereeing expert.
When Stewart Regan calls you an "underachiever", you've got to be a pretty special kind of dobber

Richmond did something outrageous to us against the sheep at Pittodrie. I can't remember what is was though

#senileauldgit
Was he the ref when we were absolutely pummelling Aberdeen and JVOH got rugby tackled in the penalty area?
Seem to recall that happening and whoever the ref was, he just waved play on.
Craig Thomson. The single worst decision I ever remember. Brian O'Driscoll couldn't have put in a better tackle.

In keeping with most of the other utterly bizarre and semi-literate choices selected by the media up here as football 'experts'.

And I'm sure the justification was that we were winning handily he didn't want to make the score worse for Aberdeen.

Listen to Clyde out here on the podcast and I have to say that this year I have changed my opinion on Gordon Dalziel. He is definitely more honest in his assessment of Rangers than the apologist and his chat with Mark Wilson is quite good and humorous and it shows he isn't as bitter as I first thought.

Not sure if others have found a change in the way he puts his views across now or not? Or do I need my tin hat for even saying this....

I dont mind him i'd rather he replaced BFDJ. At least he tries to be unbiased and can actually be funny unlike the fat one.

I'm convince the fat fud sits on Follow Follow all day when he's due on , just to get his opinions "on message" with the lowlife. His opinions echo them in every detail for the most part . What a tube.

He's just claimed that Neil Lennon got stick last season for not letting Hibs give Hearts a Guard Of Honour after they won the title !

Hearts won it 2 seasons ago , and Neil wasnt Hibs boss last season. Apart from that the big fella's spot on , legned.

BFDJ: "Neil Lennon was getting stick for Hibs not giving Hearts a guard of honour last year when they won the Championship"

Few things patently wrong with that statement DJ ya effing stupid carrot.

1. Alan Stubbs was the manager of Hibs
2. Hearts were in the Premiership
3. Sevco won the Championship

No carrot corrected him either. Whats the point?

Edit: already beaten to it!!!
