SSB panel basically saying nothing can be done because LNS has already looked at it and no rules have been broken, it's already been dealt with.

Aside from the magnitude of Rangers' financial doping, did Livingston not get a 5 point deduction for not paying tax? Was that an SPL rule or a new post-Rangers SPFL rule?

Livingston: SPFL deducts five points over tax breaches
24 November 2014

Championship club Livingston have been deducted five points for breaching Scottish Professional Football
League rules relating to non payment of tax.

At a disciplinary hearing, Livingston admitted to failing to advise the SPFL at the time that they had been
in default of their tax obligations in relation to bonus payments to players in 2010/11.

Panel unanimous that case is closed regarding EBTs. 'SFA no interest in looking at it again'. Oh well then, guess we should all accept the tainted titles. Time to move on as the Sevco site suggests. Hannah repeatedly gushing over King Con stating his admiration for him.

Corrupt to the core.

Roger hunnah had the gall to cheekily suggest (minus any irony) that Zenit should be stripped
of the 2008 UEFA Cup due to revelations about Russian athletes this week.

You couldn't make it up...

Keevins last night saying doped up tax dodgers still had to win the titles, as if it was still an achievement. :cuckoo:

Self preservation in full effect. They simply can't contemplate any further repercussions for EBT FC and point blank refuse to entertain any calls asking for justice.

Everyone completely ignoring the real issue - players were improperly registered.

Takes away the competitive advantage bollocks and just leaves the laws of the game

7 judges have opined on this. 4-3 to HMRC just now.
That's still not really how it works.

This. Contract registration is central to the rules of professional sports. The huns didn't properly register their players and as such all matches featuring players not properly registered should be a 3-0 defeat for the huns.

The phone iss aren't about discussing Scottish football, they're about shaping thefans narratives. The programmes should be treated as the dross they are and ignored. All the mainstream media should be ignored for that matter, in the hope that they stop peddling their pr driven piss.

The shampoo must really be about to hit the fan as this is now a full blown propaganda war from the MSM and the State Broadcaster to sweep all this under the carpet. Clearly they are desperate for this to just go away so why is that, who's in the frame - some seriously squeaky bums in evidence at the moment. Well guess what huns, your bent owners, bent administrators and acquiescent media lackeys are going to get their dinner and I am going to delight in watching it being served.

The Bryson argument will not stand up to scrutiny in a court of law, and a court of law is where it will be challenged.

Amen.

A good test would be to poll 100 experienced sports administrators equivalent to the role of Sandy Bryson's position in any sport where clubs/teams register players, and without them knowing any of the facts of the EBT case, have them state whether they believe a registration is still eligible after the fact, when a breach is subsequently known to have occurred.

I'd be surprised if less than 95 said the opposite.

Taking Bryson's interpretation to its logical conclusion, there is no need for criteria on eligibility, because literally everyone is assumed eligible. :ffs:

To put things in perspective; Legia Warsaw fielded a player for the last two minutes of a tie, in which they led 6-1, who was ineligible to play due to a cock-up over player registrations. Result? UEFA overturned a 2-0 win to Legia and awarded a 3-0 "walkover" win to Celtic.

Rangers fielded improperly registered players - sometimes three-quarters of the side on the park* - for the best part of a decade, and the Scottish press and football authorities stick their heads in the sand and hope it all blows over.

>

*aye, that "on the park" line again - just used in way a the MSM never will!

Listened to last nights sport sound - spiers was clearly frustrated by Wilson's refusal to acknowledge anything other than a pro sevco narrative that they did nothing wrong and it's just a retrospective tax bill - no mention of the hiding of side letters that shows they did know what they were doing

Wilson is an utter tool
huns on their forums think Wilson wiped the floor with Speirs :cuckoo:
He did. Spiers was awful. He let Wilson away with murder. It was a terrible performance.

Might be worth a reminder that 2002 -2003 was settled by one goal and 2004 -2005 by one point; minuscule differences, where a very small "sporting advantage" makes a huge difference to the outcome.

Put another way, had we robbed even half of the £40m+ that they did, and offered it all to Henrik for one more season we might have turned at least one loss that season into a win. We might even have made sure that they never got Novo, their top scorer that season. Or bought Drogba when he was available.
