"I don't care if Celtic win 20 in a row"

Think the penny is really starting to drop in the arcade.

might just be me .... but I don't think those sevco chaps rate Moussa Dembele at all .
To be fair, he's no Joey Garner. Thankfully.

Occasional read of the phone in thread is a very good reminder why not to listen to the stuff in the first place

Only player in Scotland worth £20mill is Barry McKay apparently.
On a separate note following on from some comments here, Barrie's brother is the irish dancer, he now teaches. Historically ,Irish dancing was a purely fenian activity, but since Riverdance it has reached worlwide popularity and is big business with fame and fortune for those at the top. In Scotland the multi cultural appeal can be seen in weird and wonderfull dancing dress designs, which used to be celtic logos only. In the west of Scotland I have seen two with GLasgow Rangers crests on them :nono: .
Not having that. Pictures?
Just catching up on this as I missed you comment. I can't provide photographic evidence. The dancing schoool was in Lanarkshire, this was about 20 years ago. As I mentioned Irish dancing over the years has changed dramatically from dancing in the round towers, while a lookout would watch for the British, to what we have now, which is dancing first and Irish very much second.

Living abroad I check out the SSB podcast every once in a blue moon and find it entertaining. But that once every couple of months is plenty for me. I used to listen to SSB driving around over the last couple of years as i've never really been one for music in the car (podcasts/talk shows/audio books) and it fit the bill.

I see Matt Crooks looks like he's for the off from Sevco.

Pretty sure BFDJ heralded him as the saviour at one point.

Ho-hum.

Tim Vickery quoting Brazilian journalists raving about Celtic Park on a CL night seemed to close the Sportsound discussion on great stadiums rather quickly, I thought. And Norn Irn's Andy Little advising Moussa to stay at Celtic to win things "because I would" will have gone down like a lead balloon among the zombies, I'm sure. TBF, Little sounded a cut above your average orc. :o

I heard that as well.. Agree that he sounded fairly decent.. :o Also said he was planning on living in Glasgow and is looking to play locally, maybe St Mirin or suchlike.

Little was on superhunboard a few weeks ago and came across reasonably well. Even said the he would rather play outside the SPL at a lower level and get game time to get his sharpness etc back than go to a Prem club and struggle to get a game.

Heard that mate and you are right, wee Chick very quick to move on from Tim's comment

Not as quick as Geoff Webster though, who in mentioning his first experience of Hampden was standing in the Rangers End jumped straight back in to stress it was at a Scotland game (aye right)

Not just CL games. Was watching our recent visit to Hamilton on Brazil Fox Sports an they spent a bit of time going on about our support. "Thousands at every game", "amazing atmosphere", "fantastic noise", etc.

Snyde tonight on my nightly drive home was on for 20 minutes in car and first time in years was relatively enjoyable . Austin Macphee was guest on it alongside BFDJ and Flanders.

Never heard him speak before but the guy had a really interesting prospective on youth development in scotland and why it lacks as his slot was in the main all about that. Did not realise he interviewed for SFA role which Mackay got. Mentioned Serbia and how he pitched to blazers they were a better reflection for us due to size and demographic. BFDJ was his usual self vocal with no substance and was talking about 40 years ago when he was with rangers and trial he got and did him no harm it was sheer rubbish he was spouting he is part of the problem and why we are in sticky pooh for 20 years. Cathro, Macphee and others deserve the chance to implement ideas and there vision as blazers and guys who run it are simply clueless...history of last twenty years has taught us that.

He was a good listen the fella.

Agreed. Only caught 20 minutes but the contrast in his ideas to BFDJ & "back in my day" was shocking.

McPhee talked well, its refreshing to hear comments beyond 'Scottish footballs effed'.

100% right.

Calm collected and some substance. Was talking about the US draft system and although not my favourite idea BFDJ and Flanders were clueless with his educated figures and knowledge whereas as you rightly say that fat toolbag went on about 30 turning up for a trial at rangers etc...40 years ago pish.

He just speaks for the sake of it. Macphee might fall on his erse at hearts but he deserves time and a chance to implement stuff. Im in no way a fan of hertz but they deserve credit taking chance with them and going against the tide.
