Cooper was a lovely player to watch, wonderful left foot to go with it. But he was inconsistent and not always as fit as he should've been.
Cooper was without doubt the best Scottish winger to be a SUBSTITUTE more often than not!

Hugely overrated and not a patch on Willie Johnson who was an absolute Hun of the highest order but a dangerous dangerous player-
By comparison Cooper never cost me a thought!!

Anyway they all fall at Jinky's feet!!

This pish again. The statistics don't hide the interesting bits under the miniskirt this time.

Willie Henderson:
36 goals in 478 games for the dead huns.
5 goals in 29 games for Scotland.

Jinky
129 goals in 515 games for Celtic.
4 goals in 23 games for Scotland.

Willie was a good wee player who couldn't lace Jimmy's boots. He was ten times the player Davie "the myth" Cooper was, however. Derek Johnstone is a clueless hun, best laughed at.

Jimmy Johnstone won only 23 caps for Scotland😳
The whole list of the caps the lions won was shocking considering. Fat man said it was because of the great players in Scotland at the time, my Dad begs to differ.
It should also be remembered that Jock had a habit of getting the players to withdraw from squads to prevent injuries. Dixie wrote about it in his book, said Jock would make sure they got the international appearance fee in their wages. I'm not saying there hasn't been bias against our players at certain times, Dalglish being denied the consecutive appearances record is the most obvious one, but the Lions number of caps and TB are false flags, funnily enough both of these can be put at the feet of Jock Stein.

Did I hear him say at some stage that he forgot the words to 'follow follow'?

I may well have made that up, as I can't really see him forgetting them.

Utter scheidt. Truly revisionist, hun-lurking scheidt. I don't know if you're a hun, bud, but that is a hun-like post. Are you seriously suggesting that Big Jock is the reason that Jinky got fewer caps than Henderson, McNeill was kept out for game after game by the legend that is Ronnie McKinnon, that Bobby Lennox got a handful of caps, as did Stevie Chalmers? Right y'are! I suppose Big Jock was the reason Jimmy McGrory, the greatest goalscorer in the history of the British game, got eight caps? FFS!

When scotland beat czechoslovakia in 1973 to qualify for the world cup for the first tim since 1958 there were 5 Celtic players in the starting line up . So maybe the penny had dropped by that time.
Tommy Docherty basically told Scotland fans to grow the eff up.
Aye. That worked.

Don't forget that Bobby Murdoch was kept out by 'John Grieg's a bastard' although, as the Germany game showed he was easily the equal of Franz Beckenbuer.

I know this is probably a repeat post but for f's sake....

I walked out of Hampden never to return to a Scotland game when John Collins got booed while being brought on as a sub in 91 against Bulgaria.

On to talk about what next for Scottish football - Charlie Adam, Kris Boyd, joey fenian, some journo who follows the sheep. There might have been another on, I didn't hang about to find out.
From what I did hear fenian was talking most sense, which is a bit best dressed man in Albania like.

I don't believe for a minute no ex celts were available, so wtf was that all about?
