Won't be Murray until the re-name Hedman hill.

I thought the shugster was on the money when he said (I paraphrase) that if the Scottish team showed the same level of application that Andy Murray does then they should beat England.

What about Stephen Hendry?
Greatest shove ha'penny player this country has ever produced.

A big noise in extreme ironing too, by all accounts.

its taken Murray most of his career to get to this level of performance and physicality.

A football side has a shelf life of three to four years and that's club level with players who work together everyday. We're talking about International football which is a squad that meet up every few months.

Don't think his comparison is right to be fair

20 minutes or so into today's show if you want a good laugh at some monkeys and Johnstone's mental gymnastics. They should just play snippets of Sutton's rant when he starts with his Sevco apologist garbage.

 forgot about them
Could also add Dario Franchitti to that list to debate

One of the greatest ever racing drivers, yet he can walk along Sauchiehall Street without being recognised
I'm a huge Dario fan but for me Franchitti's idol Jim Clark is the only sportsman outside football up with Murray.

Greatest ever racing drivers?

Not even in the 10 best living Scottish drivers. McNish must be better than Fangio then :nono:

Dario never got his chance in F1 that he should have but you're barking up the wrong tree trying to diminish a four time Champion, three time Indy 500 winner. His wins more remarkable as they took place under fairly regulated specification, in the past the parity was miles off at times.

Indycar is fundamentally unsafe, he was putting his neck on the line every time he jumped in and some of his closest friends died on track. Dario deserved so much more recognition than he ever received in Scotland.

Comparing squash with tennis is like comparing 400m with 40 2x5 shuttle sprints.

True but he did get to be married to Ashley Judd and he loves the Hoops

I got a kick in the haw maws for bringing up Still Game on the huns thread. How come all you bassas can have a full blown debate about the merits of feckin tennis.

As a young man finding my way in the world I would like to thank Jocky Wilson for inspiring me to take up sport and start going into pubs for the first time. A hands down winner for me.
