Has Brendan Rodgers resurrected yet another player's Celtic career?
Hope so 👍 Also hope he stops there before he gets any ideas about Ambrose 😄

Done well tonight, best player on the park. As important and good as Boyata was Jozo just went about his business, no fuss, hardly noticeable, a breath of fresh air. He may well be the best pure defender we've seen in years. Next year and Europe will provide the answer.

Looked good tonight. He's a no nonsense kind of defender who is prone to a bit of nonsense too often.

Sounds very familiar (efe)

He had a good game tonight against a mid level domestic team. First I can remember he had actually has been competent.

To be trusted against Sevco or european games...

Not for me.

Other than one bad pass and one occasion when he let the attacker in behind him ( both on first half ) he was excellent . Pinged a couple of cracking crossfield passes aswell .

His last ditch tackle was a cracker aswell 👍
That last ditch tackle was even more incredible given that it was his header in the St Johnstone penalty area that they broke upfield from.
On, and the driven cross field pass to Forrest in the first half was stunning.
I think that one to Forrest wasn't meant but it did look good

His only mistake came from an absolute howler of a pass from Gordon. Showed great pace and timing for his goal saving tackle in the first half and great determination for his goal. Is there hope for him yet?

Could be another bobo balde. He has strength and pace.
Steady on, 2 games and suddenly the previous 18 months of Boyata's Celtic career disappear

In any case while he's definitely not the answer long term, and I'm confident Rodgers knows that, he was assured tonight and shouldn't be dropped for the Hearts game.

That was effing painful to watch.

I'd be willing to bet that may be the last time we see him in a Celtic jersey.
At the time i would have agreed with you

Just had a scan through this thread and he was well written off by everybody :ph43r:

That's Brendan's job, to know when to play him and give others a break.

I thought the reaction of his teammates to that recovering tackle said a lot.

If Brendan can turn his career around now, it would be one hell of an achievement.
He looked done, no confidence, a poor defender. Tonight he looked the total opposite.

He's only a couple of games back, so who knows if the mistakes may creep back in. I still think Erik and Jozo are our best pairing, but if he keeps this form up he may have just taken his chance.
