Let's just ignore the other players who misplaced any of their passes and get on Dedryk's case.

He wasn't terrible but I'm hoping we don't see too much more of him.

Armstrong had more misplaced passes than anyone else and is getting voted as MOTM.

Can't remember more than one misplaced pass from watching in the stadium.
Thought he was pretty solid and I'm actually surprised not to see his name in the MOTM thread. Or was I just too pished?

Genuinely thought he was pretty decent in the second half.
He started the game very well then had that hoof up in the air and that rocked his confidence for about 20m despite his poor use of the ball he still covered well and made a couple of important interceptions. I was in the 2nd row in the Chadwick so not best placed to comment on his 2nd half performance but again he made good interceptions particularly the clearance at the end.

This was on an icy shampoohole of a pitch and it was his first game since the semi against the Huns. He's managed 90 minutes and been comfortable enough.

Other players have flourished under Rodgers. Boyat deserves his chance. He's decent backup.

Thought he was excellent last night.

O'Connell must be going at the end of the season or in January.

One person has said he was excellent. Everyone else who's saying something positive has tempered it with 'but', if anything it's his detractors who are going overboard with their criticism.

Fact is he is joint fifth best centre back at the club. Can only think Brendan played him to alert other clubs that e is still there.

1. Schiavchenko
2. Simunevic
3. Toure
4. O'Connell
5. Boyata/Ambrose

The guy is a haddy, but he played well last night.

Personally, I wouldn't have played him after that act of cowardice against the Huns in April.

He made a few good interceptions but his use of the ball was poor. He's got the physical attributes to make a decent living from the game but too many basic mistakes in his play.

He should have been chased after the semi final last year.

He's not good enough for where we want to be.

Quite.

He did some things well. Other things he did very poorly.

In terms of the passing (which was, and is generally, probably his biggest fault) you
also have to take into account the pitch and other players. There were two passes to Armstrong and Brown in the first half which were pretty poor but I thought the recipients should also have done better.

Not making excuses for him. I think folk on here aren't very prone to tempering praise or criticism.

I was surprised by his inclusion and he showed the reasons why it seems unlikely BR would use him long term because he doesn't look like he's got the capacity to play the ball out from the back.
