Good point Boab.
Its hardly ground breakingly insightful. If we all took a suck it and see attitude to every signing there would be no point in having a forum to discuss things. KDS might as well be a news feed like NewsNow. Folk are going to have opinions on players before we sign them, during their time at a club and after they leave. That's part of what's good about football and sport in general. Some hunches on players will be right, some will be wrong, it all adds to the excitement of signing a new player. Let the people sing.

Back on Boyata. The boy is a unit and an athlete. He's looked a bit flakey during his brief appearances but any number of reasons could excuse this. Not only have the club got good links to City, but so does the manager. I'm willing to trust him on the majority of signings unless I have watched the player regularly and think I know the standard he will reach. We are looking to "train-on" players and this guy is a good example of this. If he is a success at least we will benefit in the long term.

Some amount of analysis on a player who might or might not join us. Point is, you cannot tell anything really from what a player has done at any other club. Ask Ipswich fans about Daryll Murphy , and compare that with what yer average Celtic fan might think of him.
Sometimes it works for a player, sometimes it doesn't, and no amount of amateur analysis makes one bit of difference.

If he comes, we'll see what he's made of.
That kind of thinking will make the next few months awful quiet around here.

A buy back clause? Is he not out of contract?

Think he'll stroll it in our league, hopefully a swift replacement for VVD too, that way VVD and Ronny can get the two new guys adjusted to the system expected of them and we can really kick on in our search for a striker

He's a big strong lad, think he will do well alongside vvd. He needs games badly though. Will he hit he ground running for the qualifiers ?

I hope VVD stays till January. That way, if he has a really good CL campaign (assuming we make it), he'll get a move to a bigger club rather than the Sunderlands etc being mentioned.

One would hope that Denayer might extend his loan by 6 months as well.

Think thats unlikely now - he will go out on loan again next season,to a stronger league.

If Viera goes to Newcastle can see Denayer ending up there

Getting on a bit

Hopefully VVD will stay another season and link up with Boyata. Might not be a bad idea to get another centre half in and try and move Ambrose on if people are willing to buy him. Would always prefer to see Lustig filling in at centre half in rather than Efe, more reliable. Injuries are always the worry with Lustig though.

While Efe has his shortcomings you can rely on him bring fit and giving 100% wherever he is asked to play. There is a place for that in the squad.

Agreed, he's a very useful guy to have in the squad.

The problems start when that place is on the pitch :ph43r:
