Had he stayed on for for the duration of the game, (until he would have inevitably been red carded), we would never have made it as far as extra time. Shambolic performance.
He knew it , pulled up with a hamstring :suspect:

Bottled it

The fact that Deila started him in front of Sviatchenko is astonishing. Even if Sviatchenko was carrying a knock his performance was ten times what this dick put in during his time on the pitch. Who the hell signed this idiot? Surely we watched him.

Even worse, I'm sure Deila and Collins travelled to Manchester to seal the deal

That's the thing - it's not like this guy has been parachuted in from nowhere. The management team have been working with him for what 8 or 9 months...to be in the situation where you feel the need to change your back 4 after 20 odd minutes one of your starting 11 speaks volumes about the lack of a clear direction for the first team.

I mind last week there were many, many posters on here defending this absolute imposter and wanting him to start ahead of Mulgrew/Sviatchenko.

"He can defend" "He's quick" etc. Utterly bonkers. He plays like a clown, with the big shoes and baggy trousers on, the lot.

I'd have Ambrose and even Blackett ahead of him now. Whoever is scouting and signing our players needs to be sacked immediately.

In previous weeks he was OK

Thats not to say he has a good season - he hasn't. Although if Sviatchenko was fit he should have started.

And as for Blackett - behave. A sub that got subbed because he was so awful. Someone who was outmuscled for a goal because a 40 year old showed more desire ?

And as for Ambrose - just how many times has he let us down when it matters ?

At least they would've stayed on the park. Boyata shat it yesterday and wanted off after making a carrot of it. He can GTF.

Accusing the guy of feigning injury is a bit too far.

Yeah

You mean like Ambrose did against Ross County or Legia?

He wasn't having a good game but I don't accept that he feigned an injury - that is just wilful thinking.

It's not too far. He clearly didn't fancy it. He was being shown up by a 36 year-old Kenny Miller and was his usual silky self when he had the ball.

I obviously still need to calm down from yesterday, but it's hard to get away from our club's ineptitude from top to bottom. The place needs effing gutted.

Belgium must really be hurting for international-calibre defenders if DB regularly gets picked for their squad

He got the last 4mins against Portugal, to win his 2nd cap. 6 years after getting his first.

Belgium have Vertonghen, Vermaelen, Lombaerts, Denayer and Kompany, amongst others at centre half. I don't see Boyata featuring in any meaningful games for them.

Denayer...much would he cost us these days?

EDIT: Looks like he's had a fairly average season in Turkey. We could do worse than give the new manager £4m to bring Jason in to partner Erik - would be a good sign that we're meaning business and building from the back is always key during a change over.

Too much. Both in transfer fee and salary.
