Fair point. On reflection when you consider this guy came with a big reputation from Man City (and I like most others bought into the hype) and no other premier team or even championship team showed an interest in him I think we were reeled in. I would like to know how many times he was watched and on who's say so he was signed. Absolute haddy, never a player and if I had been a hun today I would have been upset at his removal as he was there best player despite only playing for less than half an hour. PUNT IMMEDIATELY (That of course is dependent on finding another mug of a manager to buy him).
He didn't come with a reputation. Some might've made one up but he couldn't have one, at least a good one, given the lack of appearances.
Certainly came with a few endorsements from his fellow professionals (and countrymen as far as I can recall) at Man City saying he was a rising star.

Aye, a rising effing neutron star. Dense, regularly collapses in on himself and only good for wreaking havoc.

It's not all bad news regarding Boyata, centre forwards seem to like him.

Absolute dog w**k centre back. I think that is the most frustrated I have ever been with an individual in a game against 'them'. Absolutely ragdolled by them until he was subbed off. Had the ref been card happy he probably could have walked in that time (even though it would be a harsh red card). Extremely slow to react to Brown's attempted (and very poor) interception leading to their first goal. Only looked like he moved once Miller made contact with the ball.

To think some people on here thought he'd be good because he was City's 4th choice centre back last season   That was only due to the fact Pelligrini seemed to have something against the much superior Nastasic.

He should never wear the Hoops again. I was delighted when he went off today. One of the worst centre backs we have ever had and that's saying something.

Woeful. Don't remember him having a performance that would pass as suitable since signing.

When he did sign I thought he would have been a good one.

Should never be anywhere near the first team again unless a new manager can improve him tenfold.

Efe is prone to a regular gaffe, but at least he can defend, control and pass a football on occasion.

Boyata's like Tebily on ketamine.

We should try playing him off Griffiths. Kill two donkeys with one stone.

He came highly recommended by Owen Coyle which was a big concern from day one.

Had he stayed on for for the duration of the game, (until he would have inevitably been red carded), we would never have made it as far as extra time. Shambolic performance.
