Still gives me hope that I might make it at professional level. Is there a pub team looking for a winger?
Same here mate, but I'm 44 in two months Still hope then. He looked easily like a guy in his 50ies. A very slow guy with arthritis and similar ailments. Crazier things have happened in football.

Efe is prone to a regular gaffe, but at least he can defend, control and pass a football on occasion.
Boyata's like Tebily on ketamine.

Total liability. Was delighted when his bottle went and he asked to come off. Never going to be good enough.
Delighted? eff up. Yip. Because he was a red card and a penalty waiting to happen so I was delighted when he left the pitch.

Has the first touch and control of someone who has never played football in his life Maybe connected to the relatively speaking handful of games he played in several years before we signed him. Why we ever went for a player with that profile who knows. Not the only disastrous decision made by the management in recent times.

Of all the players and characters at the club who you could expect to see their thread top the page today this guy wasn't the one I thought it'd be. Alright he didn't look great when playing but contributed a lot less to our defeat given he went off "injured" very early. Even then he wasn't having that bad a game and his dodgy moments, if there was some Cruyf turn apart, could be explained away by asking just where Lustig and Roberts were when Sevco were attacking down our right hand side.
I'm not a Boyata fan. I think there is something in him that could be made a player but since he is so inexperienced at 25 he needs someone to be a good partner and talk him through games til he learns what it takes. I don't think he's going to be afforded that at a club like ours where we are always looking to sell players on and currently have no player who I would trust to look after him. Folk will quite rightly say at 25 he shouldn't need looking after but that is the position he is in due to his lack of games and we bought him knowing fine well what we were getting.
He needs time and guidance. He won't get it here. Utter nonsense. That mob knew he was muck and put everything through his position and he was all over the place, which to a degree, set the tone for the game. He looks, too often, like someone who's never even seen a football pitch, let alone be allowed anywhere near one.
FWIW, I think his injury was feigned to save him the red neck of being hooked for looking so abject against that mob

No thanks to Lustig and Roberts the majority of the time.
If you look at today's game and some of those performances and the first thing you think is you want to slag Boyatta off then I don't know what to say.

Whatever his faults, and I agree with NJ on this, I just simply don't believe he feigned injury to leave the pitch.

Was our defence the worst part of our team today? Was Boyata our worst performing player? Is he the problem? For the time he was on the pitch, before he went off with an injury, Boyata was easily our worst player. He could easily have been sent off before he removed himself from the game. We'll be lucky to get half a million for him. As bad as I've seen in the jersey.
