I feel sorry for him he gets no protection whatsoever from that midfield.
What midfield?
Agree with this, pointed out in the post match thread it is the most lightweight midfield I`ve witnessed, they can`t tackle or protect the ball and there is not a shred of organisation to compensate.
I thought he was doing fine as were most of the back four up until Gordon made him chase a ball that was never his, he did well to his credit to get to it but after that the nerves set in again. They are inexperienced and don`t trust each other under pressure, there`s no excuse from Gordon really given the experience he has , poor decision making and and communication all round and then team fell apart defensively after their goal, not the worst on Saturday but him and Simuovic badly need and experienced DM or CH beside them.
He made some excellent saves on Saturday, but Gordon's decision making and communication remain questionable.

The midfield is nowhere near talented or competitive enough.

He can't play football. As a footballer that is always going to hold him back.
Best passing stats in EL :boxer:
Of a Celtic player, obviously.
My Liverpool supporting mate used to point out the same about Sasoko - who is also a complete clownshoe with the ball at his feet when under any pressure. Sasako can actually defend at times, though. Boyata is hopeless.
I'm not quite sure I agree with that after watching yesterdays game v Watford

Edit: Providing you mean Sakho and you're not talking about a player I don't know? :suspect:

He either means Sakho or Cissokho who was at left back a couple of years ago.

Hence my point
Both centre halves are left exposed time and time again. Our midfield is shocking, but when the full backs push so far forward and our midfield lose the ball, all the opposition have to do it knock the ball down the sides. This leaves our centre halves playing as full backs covering the space. This all stems to the manager, the tactics are a disgrace.

You can push your full backs on if you have a DM.
On Saturday we had Callum McGregor.

I still have faith in Boyata. He must see more of the ball than any other player in our team. Once he has a manager who knows how to set up a team and more importantly a DM to protect the CB's i think he can settle down and focus on his own game instead of having to charge all over the park trying to make last ditch tackles due to poor organisation.

Let's not mock Cissokho, eh?

A great player.

Rotten.

The one where he dived in on the player out on the wing on Saturday was dreadful to watch. Can’t believe people thought this muppett had turned the corner. His mistakes in the previous game vs St Johnstone, went unnoticed because they unusually did not lead to goals or chances.

He has 3 or 4 basic mistakes in him every game. If anyones daft enough to give us real money for him in January I'd take it and move on. I'd have Amrbose in there before him.

He may or may not turn out to be a good player under a different manager but Saturdays performance was as bad a centre half's performance as I've ever seen.

The moment in the second half when scott Mcdonald nudges him and he is faffing about tripping over the ball was

Brutal.
Don't know who sanctioned the move but I can see nothing to suggest he will improve.
Can't pass the ball.

Did well today. Great composure to head the ball home with his man pulling him down.

Can attack a ball well enough to be a danger at set-pieces.

Still can't play football. His passes are always a worry.

His best game so far.
The Erik effect?
Carried the ball forward quite well too, as well as being fairly effective in defence.
Well done big Bhoy.

Were you at the game. He had two missed passes in 90 minutes. Let's not forget he has one missed challenge. How was Scott Brown's passing?
