He is not a footballer.

He is the archetypal "athlete" - big, strong, can't play football.

Needs somebody calming beside him, a shambles when beside either Blackett or Ambrose.

Take him outside and kick his carrot in.

Correct. A proper scheme booting is required. How all shiftless shampooebag bastards should be dealt with.

Why is he allowed to carry the ball out of defense? He always ends up giving the ball to the opposition and then he's out of position for the counter. :brickwall:

Well, he did defend miles apart from Blackett right enough.
I see what you did there.

Because the system is still as it was when VVD and denayer were the cb's.
It's like trading a sports car in for a jeep and still expecting to go racing.

Highlight of the night was when he took the ball out the defence, tried to make a 5 yard pass failed but got it back, then tried to make the same pass when it was even more difficult and effed it up again.

This carrot gets paid thousands a week too

eff fitba

The ball has to be within 4 feet of him for him to bother his arse.

So bad. Teams actively encourage him to come into midfield with the ball because they know he'll misplace a five yard pass and they can counter with a simple pass upfield. Bitton's sending off came from exactly that, as did the first goal in Norway.

How he managed to get any sort of wage from Man City is beyond me.

Not that it matters but Nir's sending off didn't come from a Boyata pass

He misplaced a simple pass in midfield and about 8 seconds later we were a man down. Fair enough it may not have directly caused it per se, but his lack of ability on the ball has, and will continue to cost us.

Without someone experienced alongside, talking him through a match then he has no clue. I think there is talent there but no football brain.

just a shambles in general cannot pass the ball , cannot dribble the ball , cannot block the ball , cannot defend the ball .

Given he was playing centre back by himself, I didn't think he did too badly.

Can't believe anyone is defending this clown. Every game he makes a howler or lazily jogs back/fails to shut down a player. We get away with it in the spl, but not in Europe. The first goal and bitton sending off sum this useless carrot up.
