A total Coo.

Looks really, really bad.

Other than his physical attributes there is nothing that would distinguish this guy as a professional footballer.
We seem to have signed a lot of guys like that in the last few years.
English clubs love their athletes and we love to sell to English clubs.

He's tall, fast and strong.

Why is he such a shampoo centre half?

If Ronny insists on playing big Diddyrik, we will be in serious danger of blowing the League Title. His highlights so far are a couple of OG's, conceded at least one stupid penalty, oh, and he did score that goal in the qualifiers. Seriously needs to be benched before it's too late.

Usain Bolt is tall, fast and strong. These are physical attributes which tell us nothing about a player's footballing ability. Boyata isn't comfortable in possession of a football and his decision making is terrible.

Aye, cos he looked like Baresi when Virgil was playing with him.

Mulgrew is a better footballer than Boyata and I'd play him at cb before him too.
VVD looked pish beside Mulgrew too

Early days, but he has been rotten so far.
Mulgrew was one of our better players yesterday.

Well if ever one sentence described how much shampoo we are in then that's it. When Mulgrew is one of your better performers you know things are bad.

I have absolutely no confidence in this guy, he has been garbage so far, to think he was the number 1 target ahead of Denayer last season, says it all about our scouting

He has all the physical attributes needed, but there isn't an ounce of ability when it comes to reading the game.

Boyata needs a bit of time to settle down and I'm sure he will with Jozo beside him. Efe however will never get any better!! Bad decision to replace Lustig with Efe yesterday, it should have been Janko.

Apart from anything else, that tackle was rank stupidity considering the guy was on the effin by-line.
It wasn't a tackle - he didn't even challenge - he just got into position to defend - fairly imo - and the Aberdeen player stuck a foot out for the contact.
He possibly got too close to the ball if anything - Thomson clearly just wanted to award it - maybe in light of the Mulgrew handball earlier - possibly.

It was certainly an absolute shocker of a soft pen - wasn't sheidt defending really - he was just unlucky.
He's had other incidents that have been more worthy of criticism - that's for sure.
You couldn't say he was to blame for the winner either - that was mainly Gordon/Blackett/Mulgrew - though maybe the whole backline wasn't ready for that freekick.
Were any of them set up right? Aberdeen completely had the run on the defence with Mulgrew completely posted missing.

He gave the ref a decision to make and should have known that the ball and player were going nowhere. Block the player's route but don't let him have the chance of winning a penalty.

His use of the ball is appalling.

He hasn't learned from his blunders. We spent actual money on this half wit.

Mulgrew was rotten yesterday. Can't remember a header he won from a cross into the box. Gave them a few free headers around the penalty spot. Griffiths made one of his aimless punts up the park look good and that was it.

Does he make a tackle though? McLean is very clever and makes the contact with Boyata. Naive of Boyata
