Casual and unruffled. The epitome of laid back.

Madly out of position at the goal although i've not watched back to see exactly how he ended up there.

Settled down and had some nice interceptions second half.

Looks reasonably fast and strong and ok on the ball.

Bigger tests to come and too early to judge him.

Needs more games to get up to speed ( eerily similar to the other 3 outfield signings )

Rustiness at the goal aside he was fine.

Must remember the guy hasn't played a lot of football, ever, he'll come good though, I'm very confident of that.

I think he was covering for Lustig who was out of position.
For someone so fast he seemed to jog, then give you on getting back.
The whole back four were actually embarrassed in that goal.

I think he'll come good though, still remember the amount of moaning about denayer last season.

Does need a kick up the arse just now.

Howler tonight. He won't be Denayer good but I think he'll do just fine given some time to get his head back into being a full-time player.

Hasn't played a lot of football? The guy only plays football, it's his job. He has been training with some of the worlds best players...

He needs to get his head focused on what's going on around him.

So training with Kompany/Demichellis while playing reserve football instantly makes him fit and ready for consistent first-team football for the first time in his career?

Fair enough

Still think he looks rusty, hopefully he gets up to speed before playing against any quality opposition.

Really bad for the first goal. He actually watched it all unfold from about ten yards away without a thought to get involved.

Wasn't all his fault right enough, but he did not cover himself in glory.

Think it was far from just him that was at fault for the goal, he needs games and being thrown into CL qualifiers is not ideal.

He was very slow to get back which wasn't encouraging but I was disappointed with van Dijk diving in and getting skint. Would have been best trying to get the guy out wide.

Didn't put a foot wrong until that free kick at the end but I think he was trying to give the ball boy the match ball.

Cracking tackle in the 2nd half.

He and virgil look like a good partnership in the making. Shame it is not likely to be a longer lasting one.

Thought Boyata was brilliant tonight, best player on the pitch for me although Virgil wasn't far behind him, that tackle second half had Bobo Balde all over it
