Injury or just hooked cause he was pish?

Effed up the most simple pass when in acres of space and looked ropey. I wonder if Rodgers has had enough.

The tactic of being capable of passing a ball 5 yards without looking like you're about to shampoo your pants.

Soon as he passed that one straight out the park, Rodgers went to the dugout and had a chat with Davies. Hopefully enough was effin enough.

He’s like Gordon. On their day they’re probabky our best options in their position. When they have an off-day, and it’s far too often, they’re garbage. Bain and Hendry are solid SPFL players, and inspire more confidence that they can at least do the basics regularly. Which is fine for domestic stuff, but a bit of a concern at a higher level.

Stick a fork in him...he's done!
Whatever confidence he may have had has clearly evaporated.
Don't dislike the guy but he'll be better off elsewhere. :Bye:

Gordon is a good goalkeeper. Boyata isn’t a good centre half.

To be subbed at half-time at home to the bottom team in the league - who were already down to ten men and offering little threat - is pretty damning. Really disappointed in how this is turning out because for a long while there, he was looking every inch a solid centre back, not to mention a huge goal threat at corners too.

A bombscare that is quickly turining into an immediate threat.

I’m sure we all want every Celtic player to do brilliantly, but you always have to put what’s best for the club above any individual feelings you have for a player. I hope that’s what Brendan will now do. I genuinely think having Boyata in the team for the semi would be an unnecessary risk that could go badly wrong. Today’s events may have been a blessing in disguise.

Gordon can be a great keeper. He’s also prone to calamity, and often enough for it to be a problem. Maybe not as often as Boyata, but the same logic applies such that a reliable guy who can do the basics seems a better option at this level.

Said it a long time ago - he just doesn't have the concentration level to perform at the top with any consistency. Shame, cos there's a decent player in there but far too error-prone.

I've stck by the guy in the past but he has had another woeful game before being booked today. The tippy tappy nearly got s in trouble and he was an accident waiting to happen. When the ball was getting passed accross the back for I was praying it wouldn't end up with him. You can say it's confidence but to me his decision making is absolutely shot.

I think Brendan rates him as our best defensive centre half. But recognises he is not very good on the ball. When they went down to ten, so would not be attacking, he seemed to recognise the need for a ball player at the back, hence the introduction of Hendry.

Moving forward, Hendry and Ajer are the future, but neither are yet good enough defensively to be relied upon.

They're better than Boyata, clearly.
