Haven’t most of his recent injuries been down to him rather than the opposition?
Can we stop blaming players for getting injured please?

Good news or a worry that we will have to find cover for him quite quickly?

No rush Bhoys Celtic stopper Dedryck Boyata has REFUSED to commit his long-term future to Brendan Rodgers’ side
The Belgian centre-back's agent has held contract talks with Hoops chiefs - but no agreement has been reached

I didn’t realise he was 27. Thought he was younger. Sell him in the summer if possible. No loss.

I'd rather he didn't sign a new deal. BR seems to rate him but I just don't see it. If Jozo goes too and we go into the first qualifier with Hendry, Compper and Ajer then so be it, I think it's time to cut our losses on Boyata and Jozo.

The guy's an enigma. He has everything it takes to be a top quality central defender but is miles from that. :( Over the past two weeks he has reverted to Efe levels of bombscare but without the entertainment value. I'm still hopeful but then I'm still hopeful Ronny will make a great manager someday. :twitch:

Let's hope he goes to the World Cup.

Some mugs in EPL will, hopefully, buy him off the strength of that for more than he's worth.

The fact his agent's been stalling on the contract for a year, says it all.
NEXT!

Would be no great loss tbh, we can and should be getting a lot better in than him

Nowhere near good enough to waste any effort trying to keep him if he doesn't want to be here. Jozo in the same boat. Wouldn't miss either.

He's had plenty of chances but still makes the same mistakes. Sell.

Surprised he is stalling on a new deal. It is no secret that I rate him. If he doesn't want to be here though then he should be sold in the summer.

Agree with poster upthread, in that I'm surprised he's 27!!! I had thought he was about 22, so thought he may improve, but given where he is at 27, he's just not worth keeping IMO.

Anyone who believes this guy will "come good" are fooling themselves. The sooner we can punt him the better.

He's got some cheek to be fair, he'd hardly scraped together 50 games his whole career before signing for us. We took a massive chance on him, sure an EPL on a bosman does sound like good business as a low risk gamble but we gave him a platform to play at the highest level of club football and get some international recognition. I can't see anyone in the EPL touching him with a barge pole.
