Springs the offside trap and slots it.

A striker would have been proud of that one.

Maybe he can coach the rest on finishing

Some weird chat on Radio Scotland about Brown's challenge on Chochrane? Levein implying Brown took out Chochrane?
So what? Its a game. If you're going to put a boy in, you do so full in the knowledge that he's in there to compete with grown men who are out to make a living at this.

He gave him a dunt ffs. I've watched Tierney getting clattered for two full seasons week in, week out and hardly a peep from anyone about it.

Confident on the ball . accurate in passing , never lost a challenge and scored- excellent.

Just a thought, but would Boyata be more effective as a RB than a CB?

He played it on Saturday against Hibs and dealt with it well I thought.

Does Boyata have some history with the fans of the cousins. He seemed to head straight over to them last night after scoring.

True. Think a run of games for him at RB would be a risk though. He’s hitting form again so keep him in his best position

Picked up on a comment in the Hibs match thread that he'd played on the right of a back 3 and thought he might have played on the right last night too.

Clearly not

Think it was he who made the run that Musonda picked out with a backheel.

CBs making overlapping runs :rocker: swashbuckling as eff

I really like him.

Strong as eff, a good defender and his passing has gotten much, much better.

Just watched back his goal. It's a complete laugh. He originally comes up to the penalty box for a free kick being taken by Ntcham which he gets a head on. When Hearts semi clear it, he seems to begin to make his way back to his defensive position but as he strolls along the 18 yard line, he sees Celtic back on the attack. Then he decides he'll just occupy the acres of space that Hearts have left, gets the ball at his feet from Moussa and slams it home!

What a guy.

I'd say Ajer was RB, Forrest was RW and KT was LWB. Against Hibs Boyata was very wide, near the touch line a lot but we changed formation a few times when we made subs. Boyata could probably do a job at RB but Ajer is definitely move comfortable with taking the ball out of defence.

Imo he has been playing well.

Gets slaughtered for misplacing a pass every now and then.

At our level, a guy of his height, strength and speed will always be an asset.

It looks likely that he might be away in the summer.

I think playing as part of a back 3 helps Boyata and Jozo, especially when they;ve got an outlet like Ajer who's comfortable with the ball at his feet.
He played well last night, but he's never going to be the player that we need to get to where BR wants us to be, in terms of Europe

Probably had something thrown at him at Tynecastle as there was loads of crap thrown on the pitch at the last game. Especially after they scored, strangely enough.
