Boyata another beneficiary of BR's "Lazurus effect". The real acid test will be with Cifti. If BR can bring him back to football life, Lennoxtown will have to be ranked right up there alongside Lourdes and Fatima.

While I'm delighted that the bold Dedryck has at last shown us that he can look comfortable on a football pitch I don't think that during his recent run in the team he has been really tested and still think BR is just using him to give Erik and Jozo a break/chance to properly shake off any knocks.
I hope the improvement is permanent and he goes on to fill in, with distinction for our first choice CBs for years to come.

He is one of our first choice centre halves now. He isn't filling in. He deserves his starting slot at present.

He has played against Aberdeen, Hearts and St Johnstone (twice). They are our SPL tests. We have conceded 2 goals, in one match, since he came into the team. He can't play in Europe till July and we will see if he can make the step up.

Agreed. In the form he is in he's better than any of our other centre backs.

In the team just now on merit however moving forward I would stick with Erik and Jozo, still think overall they are both better than Boyata and have been performing consistently well since they came to the club. That's not to say there isn't a place for Boyata and I have been impressed with his resurgence.

If he works the his magic with Cifti I'm heading straight down to Lennoxtown with my boots.

DB in and holding his place on merit, the way it should be.

Don't want to see any of them go and I think in tough away Euro matches all 3 DB, Eric and Jozo could play together.

Through the SPL any 2 from 3. Also helps that he is an actual danger when we have a corner.

Competition for places keeps everyone on their toes.

I'm at the place now where i'm rating Boyata as better than Erik right now. That's crazy talk from the start of the season where I thought that Erik was arguably our best player who wasn't on loan. There's no way Brendan is going to take him out of the team now unless he's rotating his way through all 3 of the CBs. There's definitely room for every one in the squad.

Defensively solid but poor distribution today.

Defended well, a couple of those passes could cost him on another day.

Never noticed anything wrong with his distribution today (?) In fact I thought Bitton and Forrest were more guilty...........I realise I'm probably wrong as I seem to be in the minority. Again thought he was class.
