Bloody song will be stuck in my head for days lol.

He just seems so much more composed and maybe even mature in the last few games. I've always thought there was a player in there but he seemed to lack confidence and go AWOL very easily. Now he looks willing to take charge - especially in the air - rather than looking like a lost wee boy.

The question remains, as to whether he can do it in a high stakes game, but in the meantime, Brendan Rodgers appears to have instigated the most unlikely transformation.

Who is this man?

Are these the best three centre halfs we've had since Mjallby. Joe and Bobo?
It wouldn't be hard, some of the shampoo we have amassed over the years.

In all serious though, its an area I am loving for once. We have 4 vying for 2 spots and none of the players seem in any hurry to leave.

Nice touch by the gaffer to take him over to the fans at the end.
easy to see why brendan is so impressed with players who put the hard work and determination to get better and back in side

Dedryck Boyata is a happy man as he speaks to the media after tonight's win over @AberdeenFC

DB: "Happy, and I scored the winning goal again. Hard game, always tough against Aberdeen but in the end we got the three points." (MH)

DB: "The team has been working very hard. To get 25 points clear is good, shows we're having a good season but season isn’t finished." (MH)

DB: "Trying to do is my best all the time. Had 4 games in a row and 4 good games. When I’m in the team I try to give 100 per cent." (MH)

DB: "I’m very pleased. We've been working very hard, we do a lot of pressing under the manager, winning is good & so are clean sheets." (MH)

DB: "When i wasn’t playing, I was going back and running on the treadmill until midnight, sometimes 1am." (MH)

DB: "Maybe that was the reason he took me over to the fans as he knew how hard I have been working." (MH)

DB: "You just have to find a way to motivate yourself and keep going. Only played four games and I just have to keep going." (MH)

2 winning goals in stuffy games which could have been dropped points. huge bonus having someone good in the air at setpieces again. liking his song aswell
That's so great to see.

Griffiths take note.

What does the (MH) mean!? :ponder:
In Gaelic it's pronounced as "V" - poor attempt at creating a vicky emoji?

Superb again last night. In him and Jozo I think we have an outstanding partnership there, an area of the team we most definitely don't need to strengthen in the summer.

Even when he was poor last season there were always signs of a decent defender in there but on the ball he was a bombscare, the transformation in the that regard has been incredible.

To think 4 months ago he was making an arse of it for the development squad

This is getting silly now. You can go back to page 40 or 50 on this thread and compare comments about Boyata with now. He was awful, like, objectively so. It didn't seem like a confidence issue, it seemed like an ability issue. It doesn't make any sense. Nothing is real any more.

He was only "objectively" piss poor in the eyes of KDS posters who as ever rush to judgement and know what is going on on the training ground and probably more importantly inside a player's head. I don't believe that he was not a football player and Brendan turned him into one. The fact that he was on the books at Man City says he was at least of a basic standard.

It seems to me that it was all a matter of confidence and Brendan realised that. I think that is shown by the scenes at the end last night when Brendan singled him out and forced him over to take his deserved applause.
