Disappointing performance but a complete overreaction, as is often the case when it comes to Forrest.

He is way down the list of culpable individuals and calling him inferior to Paddy McCourt, a cult hero who truly kicked the arse out of the words 'fringe player', is laughable.
He's 24 and is half the player he was when he first arrived on the scene. People claiming he's yet to fulfill his potential are kidding themselves on.

The sad thing is the management team probably look at him as one of our best.

Mind the chat about 'Arry Redknapp Spurs Manager coming up to watch him? Eff me.

Forrest sums up everything that is wrong with this Celtic team - heartless, spineless, not interested in mucking in when things get tough and thinks hes better than he is. If there was 1 first team player id happily drive tothe airport for a transfer somewhere its him.

If McGregor started as many games as Forrest he'd have scored far more goals. That's how bad things are.

Forest is a good player and without him Lennon would have probably have been sacked. Wide players always suffer when central midfielders are as poor as ours were last night

We brought on a winger with pace and we never fed him he ball all night. You've got to get the ball out wide and quickly so the winger is one and one with the fullback but we never done that .
Wee gobshampooe spent most of the half sitting in through the middle shirking responsibility.

I've been a big advocate of Forrest. I think he's got the kind of pace that can really hurt top level teams and that - given careful handling and a good run of games - he could become a really vital player.

Last night however, he hid. He showed no willingness to get involved. He refused to take on his man and took the safe, easy option. On one occasion he allows the defender to make a simple clearance when a bit of commitment might have seen him nip in first and get taken down for a penalty. That was clear cowardice.

Forrest isn't the only one though. This is a team that are as fragile as any I've ever seen. With all the importance of European games and the number of individual errors, players start to go for a safety first mentality... "just please don't let it be me that messes up!". Therefore they stop trying anything, stop playing for each other and the team disintegrates.

For the first 20 minutes we looked like we were going to blow Molde away (not unlike the first leg) but appalling defending gifts them a goal. We come back and look as though we might just have put it behind us when we do it again. That team need to learn to play for each other... though I can imagine it's hard to build a good team spirit when there are guys who know they are not rated and are only playing because there is no-one else.

Forrest couldn't change the game at all last night, would have been better not being brought on, a wasted option but at least Ronnie didn't give him a run at centre half :cuckoo:

Gave up and started giving everything to the 18 year old left back towards the end of the game last night.

I like him, but I don't think he has the heart to do it when things get tough.

His problem is the opposite of thinking he's better than he is. He's a better player than he realises, but is currently playing to the level his head thinks he is rather than the level he could.

I've been a big advocate of Forrest, but I agree he's pretty heartless though. He won't put himself in any physical danger and barely even challenges for a header. Not really much use in Scottish football where it's still refereed as a man's game, crunching tackles loudly applauded and all.

Hid out the way - contributed zilch and made no attempt to get into the game.

Plays well one game then disappoints the next.

I like Forrest but where the hell did he go when he came on. I looked for him out wide right but no he wasn't showing up
there or on the left. He seemed to hide in the middle somewhere and then eventually out to the left. Made no impact at all.
The question must go to Ronnie about the instructions he gave to Forrest. He is an impact player when playing on the wing and getting service.
If he wants to extend his contract then he better do better than he did last night.
It was an awful performance from the whole team except for Tierney. what a great game he had. IMO Laziness is a factor in this team. I could not believe the length of time the Molde
player had score the first goal.

Better player than most give him credit for. Not his best performance but it's hard to do anything when he doesn't receive the ball.

He's rubbish. He can be relied on for a handful of decent games a season other than that he is bang average.

Heartless performance last night.

As others have said, running on to a ball in the box, he chose to jump a tackle coming in rather than possibly draw a penalty.

Unfortunately, can only see his career going backwards.

Where's 'Arry these days with his cheque book?
