We will all be saying the same things about wee Jamesy in 2 or 3 years time, if he gets a new contract.

An earlier poster said he has no game intelligence - this is very true.

He also has no ambition.

He is content with mediocrity and playing to 60 to 70% of his potential.

I think there's been a big improvement this year in his attitude, touch on the ball and work rate (despite what the stats may say), so if he keeps it up the rest will all fall into place. Big difference from last few years. Still runs like Yoshi tho 😂

Just read on the GMS thread that Forrest has zero goals and zero assists in 11 appearances this season. Checked it on Wikepedia (I know) and it was corroborated. That stat comes as a shock to me. It seemed to me that Forrest was playing better this season than in the last 3-4 years. However, as a "creative" player to have no goals and no assists in 11 games, well it's just not very good is it?
He has done a couple of good runs this season.

I'm sure we'll top the good runs table with wee Jamesy in the squad. Worth his weight in gold for that

Surprised this jasnt been bumped. Thought wee Jamesy did really well tonight. He tried to do his bit going forward and created the opportunity for Commons but more importantly he defended Tierney by dripping back in and also instructing the youngster where to go and who to pick up. It was the performance of a veteran.

I was surprised at his maturity. When I seen he was in front of Tierney I feared the worst, but he was excellent in getting back, and very good when he had the chance to run at them.

Great ball to Commons for his goal. They were terrified of him after his first couple of runs. Doubled up on him straight away and he still got past them a few times. I'm starting to really like him.

Playing very well. Could do with a bit more end product but this is the best sustained run of games he's had for at least 18 months. I like him on the left.

Forrest has finally lived up to his hype this season IMO. Consistent, injury free and able to get a run of games has brought out the player we knew he can be. He tore them to shreds in the first half.

The left wing suits him. Down the line he still has his pace & cutting in he is on his strong foot. - so he has two options. (On the right both his pace and strong foot are down the line - one option - so he is easier to defend against).

Keep it up!

Played very well and did some great work helping young Tierney out in the second half.

Good good game tonight.

Think fitness is a crucial thing for him. When truly fit he seems to be more relaxed in going forward and covers well going back.

At risk of stating the bleeding obvious of course.

Together with Tierney we had a very pacy inventive left side this evening. Great to see from two lads through the youth set up. Defended and attacked well together.

Brilliant first 40, was unpredictable and worked hard. Front 4 were anonymous the second half. Needs to offer himself as a outball when we are under pressure in Europe.

That's two Europa League games in a row that he has been excellent. What he now lacks in goals he makes up for with tireless box-to-box work on the big stage.

From what little I saw of the game, he tracked back well and showed some decent defensive work. Good job

He's been our best player in nearly every game he's played in this season. Criminally underrated by some. He really helped Tierney as well, talked him through the game.
