The boy can run. I'm not sure he can do much else.

We were never scoring or getting back into the game but he was the only player that looked capable. Could not believe it when he was removed, maybe Ronny was saving him for Saturday..

Only player in the second half that played with any directness and looked as though he wanted to win the game
He did and probably was the best of a very bad bunch last night but how many chances did he actually create for himself or for a team mate?

Not a dig at him just a sad indication of how completely lacking in creativity we are

Started getting the better of his man in the first half, so was switched sides at half time. Started getting the better of the right back and was subbed. :ffs:
That's one way to look at it.

I thought he proved once again that he's learned absolutely nothing since he came into the first team. All pace, no intelligence.

Two games where he's looked dangerous but created nothing and caused very few problems.
There were times last night where Forrest beat his man and Griffiths was hiding at the back post behind 3 defenders and there were no other Celtic players near the box. What do you expect him to do in that situation?

Never hid last night, and credit to him for that. Ultimately nothing was produced from his runs though.

Looks slightly like his old self again. Shame the rest of the team decided to take a vacation last night.

He had the most of the ball for us in attacking situations.

Did the square root of feck all with it.

And there were many more times when he got the ball, cut inside and ran at pace into a cluster of Malmo players.

I'm glad he's fit, working hard and looking dangerous but no assists, no goals and very few opportunities created isn't enough.

how many of his teammates helped him out?

he looked for help so many times with Griffiths, Johansen, and Armstrong no where to be seen, best option was Janko who were sitting in behind him 9/10 times

So a player running at, committing and beating defenders is a player doing nothing?

Whenever he got into positions he largely created on his own where was the support or runs into good positions for him to actually release the ball to? The reason he was unable to create anything in the last third was because no one else made any kind of move to give him an opportunity to do so.

He was subbed off last night for the sake of making a sub.

His final product isn't always the best and I think he should work at putting the ball in dangerous areas rather than picking a man out but what can the guy do when there is sod all to aim at in the box.

There's only so much one man can do. And when it comes to outfield players he pretty much was one man. Deserves credit for trying to take Malmo on single handed.

He beat four or five guys and no one made a run. Absolutely ludicrous. Played well Jamesy.

Have defended him on numerous occasions, he now seems to be over his injury worries, but he really needs to improve his final ball. If he can, we would have some player on our hands. Can go past people at will.

But that was my point?

Quite a few people said all JF did was run around a lot.

The fact he was committing Malmo's defenders, beating them and taking them out of the game meant he was not doing nothing.

Sorry if my point did not come across so well.

Malmo did their homework on him and always had three or four players making sure he couldn't do damage. Its a testament to his first leg performance that Malmo had him doubled and tripled most of the game.

Forrest was our best player last night. Malmo put two players on him as our midfield was offering little else - he had nobody to play the ball to most of the time. The decision to switch him to the left was poor and subbing him was worse.
