I think both those who defend and criticise Forrest agree that this season (his 6th in the first team) should be the last season where he can prove himself worth of playing consistently well, otherwise Celtic have to think of punting him.

Considering we already have him, and if he's as bad as some claim we'll get peanuts for him, given the cost it would take to replace i'd rather we kept him.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
What exactly have I said thats incorrect?

His touch is awful, he doesn't have a trick to beat a player other than kicking it past them and sprinting and his final ball or ability to finish is very very inconsistent.

He's not good enough end of.
Forrest is, in the main, an excellent finisher.

He is definitely good enough.
If you genuinely believe James Forrest the one that plays for Celtic to be an excellent finisher I'll end this discussion there.

:cuckoo: Madness.

Ive been really disappointed in Forrest for a while now but i don't think his technical ability is in any doubt, not for me anyway.
He's either become very lazy or totally lacking in confidence, i don't know which one it is but his ability isn't questionable for the quality of our current squad.

He's not a good finisher at all. His record backs that up.

He has missed many a one on one. The odd good finish here and there aside his finishing isn't the greatest.

His time is up. Has been for the last year.
Tell us about those many one on one chances he has missed.

I think that he just comes across as one of those I've made it gash footballers, who isn't clever enough to work at his limitations.
I just get the impression he's quite gallus & ego-centric, much like Stokes.
Neither player have improved in their time at Celtic & don't really contribute much, but swagger about like Ronaldo.
Punt please.
We could get as much input from some development players, who might actually appreciate what they have.
Just my opinion, never met either of them.

He's not developed in the last two seasons except as an alleged knobhead off the park, punt I'm afraid IMO

I really don't think he has been that bad in the last couple of matches.

He shouldn't start tonight but he will be a useful weapon to have off the bench.

Not sure wtf he is doing with that arms out for take off stuff ? - Wasn't part of his running style before.

He has regressed badly instead of progressing over the years - Think partly injuries and partly he became a bit of an arse which he wasn't when he was younger.

Wouldn't quite write him off yet but he needs to start producing the goods pronto or :Bye:

What was he thinking about not - passing and not shooting when was clean through.

Should have scored - and what a goal it would have been.

Most penetrating piece of running we had seen all night and then he fluffs his lines.

Great run. Liked the way he played the 1-2 off the first defender to himself rather than to an opponent, that was new.

His horrendous timing and decision making thereafter were not.

I nearly through my drink through the tv when he tried to square it. WTF was he doing? I can only assume he has no confidence these days.
