When challenged to explain what you meant lets resort to cheap insults because you can't think of anything else. And I am the lowest common denominator?

Your a classy guy. Glad to have someone of your standing amongst us. Thank you for gracing us with your intellect :worthy:

Another match gone, another sub par James Forrest performance.

Just go James
He is consistent though.

He has no ambition.

Thought he had a good first half on Saturday. Faded away in the 2nd half though.

The two wide players in the system play really narrow, they aren't really about getting to the bye line and whipping balls in, so I'm not sure why we keep playing Forrest on the right? Surely he should play on the left and GMS play on the right that way they are cutting in on their good foot?

There is no point playing with a winger if all they have to hit in the box is Griffiths. Everyone is going to look like they are pish at crossing the ball when you are aiming for a single wee guy in the box

Yeah, think it's time to try him on the left again.
When he broke through he played there and scored some cracking goals.
He does seem to want to cut inside all the time so may as well be on his stronger foot.

Aye, wasn't great but wasn't bad either.

Definitely nowhere near the worst player on the park.

No he wasn't the worst on the park but this isn't the generic poor player thread

Seems to have completely lost his confidence.

Also he doesn't seem to have the pace he used to have. It seems like he is being asked not to run at full pelt due to his injury problems but surely that can't be the case?

I won't get into the whole thing again, because I got pelters from one or two on here before, but like I said in a previous post he'll never regain his previous burst.

I find Forrest more disappointing than anything. Based maybe on the expectation and the knowledge of what he can do on his game.

He actually looked good in one of the early pre-season games, but I think he's often too predictable and tries to knock the ball past someone and run too often. I'd like to see him play a bit more patiently and show us something different and a bit more composed.

It may be a confidence thing, and he's still young, but we are getting to the point that we'll be affording James leeway where others were told where to go. He needs to start showing more in games.

I've been really critical of him over the last couple of years. There's just been no progression since he broke through, which is maybe understandable since he's probably spent most of that time working on his fitness rather than improving his game.

For a professional footballer, never mind an attacker/winger/creative player, his first touch is absolutely deplorable.

What was he 17 when he made his debut? Now 24 with little or no progress been made in that time.

His biggest problems his fitness. He's got pace but his stamina is shockingly poor. Ronnys fitness regimes hasn't worked so far. Thing is if it does work for him he will be off ski to pastures new. Suspect he will think he's too good for us
