Did more in 20 minutes than Mackay-Steven did in 70 though, of course, the woeful cross negates any good things he did.
He was effing brutal. GMS was as bad if not worse.
I don't think Forrest was brutal but he was definitely better than GMS. And Armstrong. And Johansen. That's not to say he was good. But, as I said last night, if you watched the game and your first thought was to slag aff Forrest, something else was informing that opinion. Not last night's game.
That pretty much sums it up.

We need to stop being greedy here. No transfer fee required.
Although if it helps, we should gladly offer one to any team willing to take him from us.

If it sweetens the deal and speeds up the process.

Needs game time, decide a celtic players career with less than 45 mins sub appearance in pre season.
Needs a new club.

I think very few people's comments about Forrest over the last few pages have been about his sub appearance the other night most have been about his longterm lack of progression as a player over 5/6 years.

And the whipping boy patter is just boring, people are allowed to suggest a player on our books isnt and doesnt look like ever will be good enough, no agenda just opinion.

This is the third season in a row we've had discussions of Forrest not being good enough.

Time to accept he'll never make it and cut him loose

If anyone seriously thinks people are knee jerk reacting based on one game they need their brains checked. The boy has been poor for two years and isn't showing even the least bit of improvement. :ffs:

There was a point in the second half we committed a lot of bodies forward and took a quick free kick which went wide to him and he lost the ball to the first man, they broke up the park and nearly scored. He looks out of shape too. I heard a rumour Kim kardashian was even calling him fat arse.

At least he won it. Your hero lost possession when he tried to take the ball into the corner. Maybe that's why Ciftci got the nod.

My old man wasn't playing the other night mate. He's a little bit past it now and has dodgy ligaments

If you are referring to Griffiths, a player I like, then I know who I would rather have in the team.

His arse isnt what you'd call fat. It is big though and his body shape is changing. Don't know if that's down t altered training. As for what he did on Wednesday, when we were under a bit if pressure down in the right back area he managed to take the ball a run up the wing and eventually won us a throw in up in their right back area. Something that some folk can dismiss but would be appreciated by his teammates. Especially as at certain points later in the ball was being lost consistently in the middle of the pitch.

He didn't play well on Wednesday. Only a few of our players did and those were all defensive performances. As has been admitted the criticism he is getting on here is about the past two years etc. Why Wednesday would prompt anyone to come on and slate him is beyond me. One poor cross? That's a reason to rush home or get on your phone and bump this thread when Armstrong, GMS, Brown and Johansen were all worse than Forest? If anything Wednesday should've resulted in his performance being ignored because there was a lot more to be concerned about.

For the past three seasons we've had the same discussion about whether he is good enough or whether he produces enough.

If the conversation keeps on happening then it's pretty clear what the answer is. He is nowhere near as consistent as he should be and we are far better off letting him go to a different team where he can prove himself. Include a buyback fee if you want and we don't have to rue any ensuing mistake.

 There's more to worry about so lets ignore the fact he didn't play well  That's some effed up logic and if everyone had that way of thinking the forum would be a dull place.

People are commenting on it as it's like watching the same movie on repeat. He has lost that yard of pace and when pace is your main/only attribute your effed. He didn't only put in 1 bad cross he couldn't beat his men and more often than not ran up blind alleys. This is invariably the same stuff people are seeing time and time again. It's now reached the stage it is boring and barring a miracle isn't going to change.

Although it was only a friendly he was diabolical in the Rennes game and showed nothing to suggest he should have been in the squad never mind on the park on Wednesday.
