Correct position on a great surface, and he is back to something approaching his best. Terrific tonight. Very encouraging.
Is the surface better again?

The abuse this kid takes is beyond belief. You'd think he chose to be injured. Cracking player, just needs some tlc and a bit of luck.
He is not 'a kid'.

Anyway Forrest played well last night .Noticed when he was going up the tunnel at the whistle he pulled out some sort of protective looking device off of both upper hamstrings that were hidden under his shorts - Not making excuses for him but that and Deila's comment would tend to suggest the mental side of the incessant injury run does affect his game.

I have heavily criticised Forrest very recently due to his form/injuries over the past couple of years, and while for me the jury is still out on whether or not he will realise his full potential I have to admit that he was ok on his cameo in the League Cup final and was very very good last night. If, and now it is a big if, he can keep up last nights performance and stay injury free until the end of the season then I would say that he has a big part to play under Ronny.

Excellent tonight. Hope he can stay fit, but am more confident having read the article about how he is being managed.
I'd like to be readin yon article mate, but ah've been back to p32 and can't see anything. Do you have a link? Cheers

Edit: apparently 't h o n' means 'thong'!
Think this is the one he was talking about mate?
Cheers mate, quality stuff from big Ronnie

"It is psychological, but it's also that his body hasn't been balanced," said Deila.

"That's about core strength. It's about how to control high speed, changes of direction.

"He needs to play more football. His physique is not even close to what it should be.

"If he plays 90 minutes, it takes five days to recover because he hasn't played for such a long time. If I push him again, he gets another pulled muscle because he's tired.

"You have to measure him all the time. He has to be honest with his body. We have to build him step-by-step."

Deila can understand why Forrest has been labelled a potential £10m talent in the past. With all this talk of rebuilding him, he sounds more like the Six Million Dollar Man, but the Norwegian remains optimistic about his future.

"I hope, in half-a-year, we can sit and be really, really excited about James Forrest," he said.

"It's been a long time since James has been consistently good and that is because of injuries, but, touch wood, that's six months without a pulled muscle.

"I have been unbelievably patient with him because we have had to build him up from the bottom.

"We have had to build his self-belief back up, create the belief that he won't get these injuries again and we have to take it slowly.

"He is not even close to what he can be as a footballer."

Glad to hear he done well. I thought he was finished with us tbh. Didn't realise he was 25 though, really got to kick on now.
He's 23.
An article on here a few pages back said he was 25, superb journalism

Still got nagging doubts about him but, as with anyone who plays with us, I'd be happy to be proved wrong
Think fans giving him stick at games need to back off, it's not going to help him any (fill yer boots online though)

Agreed - even around me at games, he is a bit of a whipping boy.
Probably only behind Efe and Stokes in terms of grief he gets...
