i like him but unreal decision to take the pen when we had 3-4 players better placed to take it, it is a cup final after all. nice goal though and hopefully he kicks on

I don't get this, HE won the penalty, we were 2-0 up, he had every right to take the penalty. ;)

Not a fan of Forrest anymore, haven't been for a while. Would be best for all parties if he plays himself into a bit of form and gets sold this summer on the back of it.

Pessimist/realist in me reckons he'll be injured again soon enough.

Much more positive when he came on today. Headed straight for the heart of the Utd defence scoring a goal and winning a penalty. More like it and hopefully the start of a return to form.

Did exactly what he should have done when he came on today. He was probably right to take the penalty, depending on what's pre-arranged between the players/management. Even though he missed I still think I would have wanted him to take it. Who's to say how much impact the messing about beforehand had. Didn't really matter anyway. :)

Don't care who wins the penalty the best penalty taker in the team should take it. I know it wasn't a crucial moment but he shouldn't have taken it, half the team are ahead of him as penalty takers as far as I'm concerned. There's a big difference between bravado, ego, misplaced confidence and the ability to convert the opportunity under pressure. Forrest's penalty was hardly a pressure kick and it was one of the worst I've seen.

The boy has been searching for a bit of confidence and that would have contributed to it, sadly that's backfired on him now.

He showed a bit of bottle to step up and I'm glad he did in a way, hopefully he puts it behind him and continues to improve.

Forrest was perfectly entitled to take the penalty, although I was desperate for Brown to take it instead.

Laughably poor attempt but that aside, scored a good goal and looked bright when he came on, although against 10 men it was always going to be easy for him to exploit open spaces.

Will be interesting to see how much game time he gets until the end of the season, with GMS & Armstrong back in the squad soon.
I should be used to you talking garbage by now, but Forrest deserved to take it? Makers takers? It's professional football not 6 a side down the school park. Fairly certain everyone would have thought Guidetti would take it and I can understand him being pissed off. Forrest acted like a wee pumpkin.

Apologies, I should be celebrating instead of concentrating on the only thing that stuck in my craw today. If he was ever going to insist then this was the perfect time to be honest. He won it and we were never losing so it was as missable as they come and hopefully he learned something today because that was one of the worst penalties I've seen and there was no pressure on it. I still think there should be a designated taker assigned to stop people with inflated opinions about their own ability grabbing the ball, he's honestly one of the last I'd have chosen.

Anyhoo, we're going to win the treble. :rocker:

Using a condescending tone doesn't win you arguments.

Guidetti isn't our normal penalty taker. Took 2 out of 7.

Yes he effed up the penalty but he wanted to hit it and considering he is completely lacking in confidence , I wouldn't get too upset about it.

His goal was a superb finish after he burned his full back. Not bad for a guy who has lost all his pace.

sell.
I wanted to hit the penalty too. Unlike many on here I know you follow Celtic everywhere and are more entitled than most to your opinion but you actually sound like my da with your favourites and the ones you don't like Remy. Are you my da'?

I said 'entitled', not 'deserved'. He may have acted like a pumpkin but he took the ball, refused to give it to Guidetti and eventually he took the pen.

What did you expect, Guidetti to knock him out over a last min pen in a game we're 2-0 up in against 10 men?

I respect your opinion as well mate

Hard to really get annoyed at the penalty when I have absolutely no idea who our #1 choice is . Forrest . Guidetti, Commons. Bitton and Brown have all hit them in the recent past.
